Saugerties Animal Shelter ( UPDATE 8/31/26)

PLUMBING- Underground service has been completed. Trench and floor drains have been installed.

ELECTRICAL- Electrician has commenced with rough-in of radiant heating at kennels. Work is expected to be completed after Labor Day.

SITE WORK- 3/4" stone have been set in place and compacted.

CONCRETE-Concrete slab pour is being broken up into (3) pours. The first pour occurred on 8/28/26, which consisted of the reception and cat housing area. The second pour, intake and office locations, has been prepped and will be poured on 9/02/26. The final pour, dog kennel area, will be poured after Labor Day. This area is now being prepped with a v***r barrier and 1" rigid insulation.

SIPS- The building trusses were delivered to the site. The lobby/reception/cat housing area is now being prepped for installation of the SIPS panels. SIPS panels are expected to commence with thew week of 8/31/26 and will continue through the month of September.

Exciting news on the “New” Town Of Saugerties Animal Shelter. They are onsite prepping for the concrete pour. The 3/4” stone was delivered earlier in the week. They have a telebelt on site now to disperse the stone. Concrete sub starts on site Tuesday to prep for pours. There will be 3-4 concrete pours.
The walls are expected to commence the week of 8/31.
