We know you'll LOVE our October Pet of the Month!! We sure do. 🥰
Her name is Happy, which is perfect, because that's how her story turned out!
From Happy's mom:
Happy was adopted in February of this year. She came off of the Mardi Gras Casino Racetrack in Wheeling, West Virginia. Happy was not familiar at all with living in a home and had no idea about what it was like to be a pet. She initially had some health issues related to neglect from the racing industry, but with help from Springs Family Vet, Happy soon recovered. She had never had a warm, cozy bed or squeaky toys. Fortunately, Happy adjusted very quickly to a leisurely lifestyle. She makes a great walking buddy and loves to go on hikes and trips to the dog park. Whenever we are out, children in particular comment on how "cute" Happy is. Recently on a walk in Cole's Woods, a woman stopped us and said that Happy looked like a "supermodel." This may be so, but Happy is not just a pretty face! She is loving and very sweet-natured. Snuggling is her favorite pastime. The ladies at the vet's office dote on her when we come in. She seems to be a hit wherever she goes -- a true ambassador for the breed, and living proof of what excellent pets greyhounds really are.❤️

CONGRATS to Finnegan, our September Pet of the Month!! 🥳 🐾🎉 We hope this gorgeous man is completely spoiled this month -- he's a love!! 🥰
From Finn's owners:
This is our dog Finnegan. We’ve had 4 labs through the years, but Finn is by far our largest Lab, yet his gentle nature shines through in everything he does. Despite his size, he is remarkably kind and affectionate with everyone he meets. Intelligent and attentive, he listens well and has a distinct personality that makes him truly special. He’s quite photogenic, and people always approach him due to his size and comment how handsome he is. Our bond is strong—we do just about everything together. He loves car rides, waits patiently when needed, and at the end of the day, he’s always ready to cuddle. He likes his comfort on the couch but will just as easily like to be outside, especially in the cooler weather. He has a great life with us, and he makes our life great as well! It’s hard to not have a dog in our lives, and having Finn is one of a kind that we love deeply. 🐾
We are celebrating you, Finnegan! Enjoy your special month and prize from us! ❤️

Dr. Sara Ryan has been a trusted partner in the health and well-being of our community's pets for years. She recognized a need for next level veterinary care in our area, and Springs Family Veterinary Hospital was born! The hospital has been completely designed by Dr. Sara with the comfort of you and your pets in mind. She implemented separate entrances, waiting areas and exam rooms for cats and dogs, non-slip flooring, windows galore for natural lighting and windows in the kennel areas, cozy cottages for hospitalized pets, pheromones, treat rewards, and highly developed protocols that increase patient comfort and healing.
