April is Heartworm Awareness Month!! 🐶🐾🐱🐾
❤Heartworm is transmissible to both dogs and cats, and while very serious and potentially fatal, it is easily preventable!
❤Transmitted through a mosquito bite, so even indoor-only pets are at risk.
❤Symptoms in dogs are coughing, lethargy and inappetance. In cats, we see coughing, asthma attacks, vomiting, among other symptoms.
❤Is your dog up to date on his/her annual heartworm test?
❤Do you have monthly heartworm preventive at home to give your dog or cat?
❤There are options for preventives! Call us to discuss what's best for your pet!

Ever wonder what a dental procedure for your pet would entail? 🤔 Here is a snapshot of the depth of time and care involved, the state-of-the-art equipment we use, and the many roles our stellar team play throughout the process! 🤩 Winston was a phenomenal patient! 🐾🐶🐾 His wonderful mom noticed some oral pain and brought him for an exam right away. Winston had a fractured tooth and needed a cleaning and some other important oral care. We are happy to say Winston is feeling much better!! ❤️💛💙💜

How cool is Charlie in her googles?! 😎🐾🐶 She had laser treatment to promote healing after surgery and was such a good girl, she earned a heart! ❤

CONGRATS, Tuna (how adorable is that name?!)!! 🥳🐾 🐶
Our March Pet of the Month!! 👏

From Tuna's Mom:
Tuna is a 3 year old Chiweenie mix with the funniest personality. She was found with her litter in Florida. She came to New York through Lucky Puppy. Her Florida roots still shine through because she LOVES the sun. She loves toys and practices her terrier instincts by shredding every one to pieces. She also loves to be buried under blankets and pillows. I always have to check the bed before I lay down so that I don’t squish her. A list of other things she loves: blueberries, chasing chipmunks, veggie scraps, laying on the back on the couch like a cat and serving as neighborhood watch (it’s a full time job). Tuna is the quirkiest, funniest, most perfect soul dog in the world!

Enjoy your special month, Tuna, you deserve it!! 🥰
