Daily Stall Cleaner Needed – XS Heart Ranch | Sanger, Texas
Small Cutting, Ranch & Reining Horse Farm – $250/week
Daily hours can be done on your own schedule but will be split into AM and PM contract labor.
Expected hours: 2–4 total per day, 7 days a week.
Must be:
Self-motivated
Hardworking
Experienced with Horses
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning stalls daily
Feeding and watering horses occasionally
Cleaning water buckets
Barn cleaning (walls, stalls, dusting, dumping manure, and general tidying)
Handling horses safely and confidently, including broodmares with foals, yearlings, two-year-olds, and show horses
Lifting hay and grain bags (50–70 lbs)
Maintaining safety procedures at all times with horses and equipment

At XS Heart Ranch, “bloodstock” means more than pedigree on paper - it’s generations of proven performance, grit, and heart. Every foal we raise carries the legacy of elite sires and mares whose records speak for themselves, paired with the temperament, trainability, and cow sense that make them true partners. From the ranch to the show pen, our bloodstock is bred to perform, bred to last, and bred with excess heart.
That’s why we’re over the moon to welcome two incredible mares to our program - Dealiteful (“Dealia”) and Read My Lipps (“Olivia”), from our dear friend, Melissa, https://www.facebook.com/moongate.manor of Virginia. Melissa and Dave showed together on the same cutting horse team under the legendary Grady Duncan, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100070279539044 and his assistant, Jamie Wywadis from the Back Forty Ranch. If you know Grady, you know - he’s the best cutting trainer and coach on the East Coast.
These mares have been Melissa’s trusted show partners for years, and when she made the difficult decision to let them move into their next chapter, she thought of us. We were honored, and thrilled!
Dealiteful (Dealia) – LTE $16,800, by Dealnwithacoolcat out of Ima Dynamite Gal. Her pedigree is a roll call of legends. High Brow Cat, Peppy San Badger, Doc Olena, and we believe she’s going to be the perfect cross on our stallion, Smart Alec Metallic (“Alec”).
Read My Lipps (Olivia) – LTE $5,000, by the great Metallic Cat and out of a daughter of Haidas Little Pep. She brings both talent and bloodlines that are a perfect fit for our breeding vision.
These mares are destined to be future mothers in our program, carrying forward the XS Heart Ranch legacy of performance horses bred and raised with excess heart.

✨ A Legacy Lives On… ✨

A heartfelt thank you to Lora, John, Paisley, and Jolene Andrews for welcoming another XS Heart Ranch horse into their lives! Watching the journey of Speckles unfold with you fills our hearts with joy and pride. We can't wait to see the places you will go, the adventures you will seek, and the memories you will make that will last a lifetime.

Speckles is truly special. From the moment she was born, we knew she was blessed. Lena named her that moment because of her unique and unexpected markings. Like all the generations of AQHA horses our family has raised for nearly 50 years, she carries the XS Heart Ranch Legacy and Brand. But what makes her even more unique is that she’s also eligible for APHA registration, thanks to the beautiful "speckles" on her belly and her striking chrome markings. She is breathtaking in every way.

Our Legacy Girls are rarely sold and only when we find homes that feel like an extension of our XS Heart Ranch family. That’s exactly how we feel about Lora and her family. Lora and Tara have been best friends since their Larimer County 4-H days, showing horses together when they were just 8 years old. (We won’t say how many years ago that was, but let’s just say… it’s been a while! 😉)

Below is a special photo—one that holds so much history. It’s of Justin and Tara with Dave and Missy at a show years ago. Justin, now 36, was the baby of the family and he and Tara were showing Missy that day—Speckles’ Great, Great, Grandmother. 🐎

Missy was the first mare in our XS Heart Ranch Legacy Line, purchased by my dad in 1980 and bred to Dave’s dad’s stallion, Banjo’s Flash, who joined our family in 1976. The legacy continues, and we know that Speckles is in the best hands. We truly hope she will be part of Lora and John’s ranch and family legacy in the years to come.

Nothing would make us prouder or happier than to see her thrive with you. ❤️🐴

Babies coming soon! Our boy, Smart Alec Metallic will have his first babies this season and I can't wait!!! Freckles is my Gray mare and Rebel is our palomino mare, Both Freckles and Rebel are the Ranch Riding Show mares, Thelma is one of our cutting mares and sorrel like Alec so I think I know what that one will be! :) Below is our line up!

By the way, Alec's earnings are approaching $40,000 now. He is also sitting 4th in the NCHA - World Standings right now! :)

How many horses do we really need?
We need a big horse, a little horse, bold and spry,
An old horse, a young horse, that reaches the sky.
A sorrel horse gleaming like sunlight's sweet glow,
And a roan horse with patches as soft as the snow.
A palomino horse with a coat like spun gold,
A buckskin horse, sturdy and steadfastly bold.
A red dun horse with its blush of warm hue,
Each one is a treasure, a dream come true.
A cutting horse, quick, with a mind sharp as steel,
A reining horse pivoting tight with great zeal.
A roping horse built for the lassoing feat,
A ranch horse, steady, with sure-footed feet.
A pleasure horse gentle, a joy to behold,
A kids’ horse so patient, with heart pure as gold.
An old humans’ horse, calm, with a walk slow and sweet,
And a high-spirited horse, full of spark, yet discreet.
