Born 2 Be Therapeutic Equestrian Center Born 2 Be Therapeutic Equestrian Center is located in Sanger, TX just north of Denton. Our participants range in age from 5 years to senior adults.

It is dedicated to offering the opportunity for individuals with disabilities to become all they were Born 2 Be through a partnership with the horse. Born 2 Be is a therapeutic riding and carriage driving program dedicated to providing the opportunity for individuals to become all they were Born 2 Be through a partnership with the horse. We are located in Sanger, TX just north of Denton, south of

Gainesville and accessible from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We serve individuals with physical, educational, intellectual and emotional disabilities, including military veterans. Each lesson is a team effort of people and horses working together to accomplish a common goal.

For the past decade, professional champion Holin Wunn had dominated tournaments throughout the region. After 17 holes at the tournament of the century, Wunn was 1-up. That's when it became dead even. As Wunn teed up for the 18th hole, a deathly silence fell over the crowd. Just as his driver reached the zenith of its arc, Wunn released the club. His eyes rolled back in their sockets and he collapsed. All efforts to revive hm failed.

I wanted to post a reminder of how this Trail Challenge is more than just a fun day for riders and their horses.

It’s a way to support our therapeutic riding program! 🐴

Every entry helps our program, horse care, equipment, farrier & Hay. It’s all the essentials so we can continue providing life-changing equine-assisted services to individuals in our community.

By participating in this event, you're not only having a good time but you are helping create opportunities for our riders to build confidence, independence, strength, and meaningful connections through the healing power of horses.
