What do you know about the amino acid content in your feed?

I’m sure you can tell me the protein level. Did you know that in order to utilize that protein, horses need aminos. There are two groups of aminos, essential and nonessential. Essential aminos need to be in their diet because horses cannot produce them.

It doesn’t matter how great your feed program is, if they can’t utilize what you’re feeding them because they are missing essential aminos in their diet that are needed for all cellular processes.

If they aren’t getting enough aminos, they can’t repair muscle fast enough, they have to wait until the aminos are all present to rebuild. If they are missing one? Synthesis stops.

We are gearing up for our electrolyte paste launch!!

A few really good questions I have had… the first was, do I use these new products on Adios, and the answer is YES! I am literally having them developed for him. We work with an equine nutritionist and the lab to formulas thing I need while hauling. I like simple, yet effective.

I have been in a few situations this year where I needed specific electrolytes. When I run in Denver, that was the first time I had to run 2x in a day. When I’m running some of these rodeos, I have quite a bit of driving to get out and run, and then a long haul home. It’s crucial he keeps drinking.

The premise of Repair was to be an all around, cover your bases, type of supplement with no added fillers and to offer a coating while they get their electrolytes to not upset their stomach.

As I go down the road though, there are situations where I need just the electrolytes, but I wanted to make it better and protect their stomach too.

*Potassium- Necessary for the normal functioning of cells, nerves, and muscles. This is also helpful to replenish with lasix use.

*Phosphorus- Helps control the amount of fluid and the balance of acids and bases (pH balance) in their body.
