Update as of 11-23-2025

We’re now 4 days into our 14-day precautionary period, and everything at Godwin Ranch is running smoothly.

Just an update and a reminder that all lessons, training sessions, and regular activities are still happening as usual. 💛
The only restriction in place is that no horses may come in or go out during this temporary biosecurity hold.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we continue monitoring our resident horses and keeping safety a top priority.

Important Update from Godwin Ranch
Sanger Texas 11-19-2025
Due to the recent Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1) outbreak in parts of Texas, Godwin Ranch will be closed for the next two weeks. For the safety of our equine athletes, no horses will be allowed in or out during this time.

We are closely monitoring all resident horses and taking every necessary precaution, including regular temperature checks, enhanced sanitation, and strict biosecurity protocols.
EHV-1 can spread quickly and may cause fever, respiratory symptoms, or neurological issues, so we are taking this situation very seriously.

The health of our horses and our clients’ horses is our top priority. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work to keep everyone safe.

Further updates will be provided as the situation evolves.

* Please note: Any horse that leaves Godwin Ranch during this two-week closure will not be permitted to return until the biosecurity hold is lifted. This precaution is essential to protect all resident horses and prevent potential exposure to EHV-1.
