Cal Poly Equine Center The Cal Poly Equine Center is part of the California Polytechnic State University's Animal Science Department.

The Cal Poly Equine Center provides animals and facilities for courses, is an operational breeding and foaling facility, provides boarding services, and hosts public events throughout the year.

We are officially two weeks away from sale day! Here is the 2025 Cal Poly Performance Horse Sale schedule of events! Both days will be hosted at the Oppenheimer Family Equine Center @ Cal Poly SLO. Directions can be found on maps by typing in “Cal Poly Equine Center.”
Friday will be an opportunity to have the student riders answer any questions about sale horses, meet the horses in the barn, and watch them move in the round pen without a rider!
On Saturday, gates will open at 10AM and our riding preview will begin at 11AM where every horse will be ridden for a few minutes.
Lunch will be served at noon by and the sale will begin in person and online at 1PM!
If you are planning to join us online for the sale, please check out our website to get registered with ! We are so excited and can’t wait to see everyone there!!
