We are getting excited for the 4th Annual Vernal Brothers Classic at Garwood Arena May 2-4!

Double L Bar Shooters always put on a top notch event! Pair that with $10,000 added and a Saturday night Showcase for all to attend and you have one heck of a weekend! Be sure to stop by the arena at 7 pm Saturday for a free show!

We want to thank Creek Valley Veterinary Services LLC for adding $500 to both the Futurity and Derby classes that are part of the Genesis Series!

Congratulations to Cara and the little yellow rocket Duce🚀 The duo won the L6 class, Reserve Cowgirl, 4th overall out of 112 shooters, and placed 3rd in the AAA non-gender split Division!

Chris Himes and Bowie were laying it down winning the M3 class and placing 3rd in the AA Division!

The team is excited to run and gun the rest of the week🤠

Congratulations to Jared Penley and Maverick✈️on their Overall win and Chris Himes and Bowie on their Reserve Overall win at the Saturday 1st Ohio shoot! Cara and Duce 🚀took the Reserve Overall spot on Sunday🤠

We are also proud of the 3 CMSA Futurity horses we brought to expo all weekend. All together we had 3 futurity and 2 derby horses there to represent!

First day back on the trails since Christmas Day🌲 So thankful for warmer weather and sunshine☀️

Most important, we are eager to get all the training horses out on the trails to reinforce the skills taught in the indoor arena through the winter. Putting a purpose behind a skill is important to a young horse's development. Training on the trail is an integral part of our program💪

Hopefully the last snowy and cold day of shooting, but we still had fun with the Steel Town Gunslingers 🤠

Congratulations to Kylie Roth on her first shoot! Kylie came to our Beginner Shooter Clinic last December and has been working hard with us to gun break her mare and learn all things mounted shooting. The team had an awesome day and shot their last 2 patterns clean. Most important, her mare was confident and looked like a seasoned pro!

Anne Paquin visited us for the weekend from New Hampshire. So wonderful having her with us❤️ Fun fact...Anne was Jared's first training customer when he moved to NH 10 years ago.

The hour it took to work up the outdoor was 💯 worth it for an afternoon of riding in the sunshine☀️ We haven't been in the outdoor since late October. Horses and humans were thrilled for a change of pace!
