Hi everyone! Here are the pictures taken by our receptionist Lacy with a very old camera. The photos aren't all clear, but they do have soul. It was a great time with tasty food, fantastic company, and lots of memories shared. Thank you so much to everyone that came and to everyone that sent condolsenses and were there with us in spirit. Dr. P would have loved the sense of community on display that he built one pet and one smile at a time. He truly loved every pet like his own. He is deeply missed and will always be cherished by us all. Thank you to everyone that has stayed tuned in to our journey without him, there is light at the end of the tunnel for Liberty Animal Hospital and for his legacy to continue.

CLINIC UPDATE:

Dear Liberty Animal Hospital Family,

We want to take a moment to thank you for your kindness, patience personally, and continued trust
during this very difficult time following Dr. Michael Paoletti's passing.

Losing Dr. Paoletti has been a profound loss for all of us, and we know it has been incredibly hard
on many of you and your pets as well. Your understanding and support have meant more to us than
words can express.

Please know that the same experienced, long-time staff and dedicated team you already know and
trust continue to provide compassionate, high-quality care every day. We recognize that this
transition has created some temporary scheduling adjustments, and we are working hard to resolve
them quickly so we can return to the smooth, consistent care you’ve come to expect.

We are actively working to bring in an outstanding new managing veterinarian who shares Dr.
Paoletti’s values and dedication to exceptional medicine. In the meantime, our entire team is
focused on making this transition as seamless as possible for you and your beloved pets.

We are deeply grateful for your loyalty and patience during this uneasy time. You are an important
part of our Liberty Animal Hospital family, and we are fully committed to earning your trust every
day as we move forward together.

Please come join us at Doc's favorite park to take his boys to play. This dog friendly celebration of life will offer food from 12-1, a guest book to sign, memory cards to write a special memory on, music, a time for sharing stories on a microphone, and a rock painting table for a take home momento. We are very saddened to announce the tragic loss of our dearest friend and mentor Dr. Mike Paoletti. This week he passed peacefully in his home and will be very much missed in our lives, in this clinic, and in this community. As a clinic, we will do our best to honor and continue his legacy of caring for every pet that we feasibly can. We are still seeing patients under Dr. Keri Lynn McDowell on Mondays and Tuesdays, and our technicians are continuing to see pets at the capacity they always have (toe nail trims, vaccines, gland expressions, fluids, injectable medications, and refilling meds). We already miss him dearly and we know you will too. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Please feel free to leave a memory for everyone to cherish.

Hot pavement burns paws! During hot summer days, please remember your dog’s paw pads are vulnerable - if it’s uncomfortable for you to hold the back of your hand against pavement for five seconds, it’s too hot for your four-legged friend. Consider limiting walks to early mornings and cooler evenings, or look for unpaved areas for exercise and play.
