Welcome to Windfall Farms!
Little over 10 years ago my husband and I decided a farm would be a great place to raise our 3 kids. We moved in with 3 kids under the age of 3 to a farm that hadn't been touched in 8 years. It was a big project! But totally worth it in any given day you can hear a dirt bike or watch my daughter riding one of her horses.
We've done a lot of different things over the past 10 years some we would do again. The horse side of things we went to having a private barn years ago and 100% the best decision! Its peaceful, zero drama, and enjoyable! The horses are for funsies now
Our 4th year with the dog boarding side of things and absolutely something I love. There was such a need in our area. The biggest being emergency stays more so for customers over the age of 50. If you have a dog at that age you'll always have a dog however life starts to throw curveballs. Along with daystays the younger customers wanting a dog but needing help during the work week. I'm a very consistent person, that runs on a schedule, and thrives on time management.
A bit biased for hunting dogs and enjoy the breeding side
2026 some thoughts would be raising pheasants and adding another female. We will see what unfolds.
For now farm projects = getting ready for winter and the next litter of pups
