Remember Isabella, our unexpected puppy born at the rescue? She needed surgery for inguinal hernias and generous donations covered the full cost of surgery. Isabella is now Bella, and she was adopted by a wonderful family. Here's what her new Mom had to say:

"We are incredibly grateful to Little Paws Doggie Rescue and to all of the amazing supporters who helped make Bella’s surgery and adoption possible. Knowing how much love and generosity went into her care makes us even more appreciative to have her as part of our family.

Bella has settled into our home and we couldn’t imagine life without her. She is such a goofy, silly little girl — her signature happy hops, “side eye”, and when she “reads” her baby book - it make us laugh every day. She absolutely adores her sister, Daisy, and the two of them spend their days playing together, chasing each other around, and then cuddling up and burrowing together when it’s time to rest.

Bella is thriving, full of love, and clearly knows she’s safe and home. We are so incredibly grateful to Little Paws Doggie Rescue and to all of the generous supporters who made her surgery and adoption possible. Thanks to you, Bella’s story has the happiest ending.

Thank you again for everything you do — we’re so thankful for Little Paws and the incredible work you do for these pups."

January is National Walk Your Dog Month! 🐾
Walking isn't just exercise. It's bonding time, mental stimulation, and adventure all rolled into one.
Benefits of daily walks:
✅ Physical health for you and your pup
✅ Mental enrichment & new smells to explore
✅ Socialization opportunities
✅ Stress relief for both of you
✅ Strengthens your bond
Here's the secret: Don't rush! Let your dog stop and sniff. Those pauses aren't delays, they're your dog reading the "news" of the neighborhood. Sniffing provides crucial mental stimulation and makes walks so much more enriching for them.
And yes, senior dogs LOVE walks too! They might move a little slower, but that just means more time to:
🌸 Stop and smell the flowers
🐿️ Watch the squirrels
☀️ Soak up the sunshine
💙 Enjoy quality time together
Senior dogs make perfect walking companions for people who prefer gentle, leisurely strolls.
Thinking about adopting a walking buddy? We'd love to help you find your perfect match 💙

It's New Years Eve, which can be a fun time for humans, but pretty scary for dogs. Keep in mind these tips to have a safe and fun New Year:

+ Don't leave pets outdoors - the fireworks can be especially loud and frightening outside and they may find an escape in panic.
+ Make a safe space - if your dog is afraid of the fireworks, they might want somewhere safe to hide. Create a soft, dark area for them to go to for security.
+ In case they do escape, make sure all ID tags or microchips are fully up to date for the best chance for a quick reunion.
+ The food and alcohol might be flowing, but take care your dog doesn't ingest something they shouldn't! Call your vet ASAP if you suspect they have had something dangerous.

Sweet Roxie is now available for adoption!

This adorable 11-year-old sweetheart (13 lbs) is ready to spend her golden years in a loving home! 💕 With her beautiful brown and white coat, accented by cute fluffy toes, Roxie is as charming as they come. Bonus: she's non-shedding! 🎉

What makes Roxie special:
💗 The Cuddle Bug - Roxie takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, watch out! She transforms into the ultimate snuggle companion who'll steal your heart and your favorite spot on the couch.
🐕 Perfect Companion - She gets along great with other dogs and would love a canine sibling or to be your one-and-only. Just note: cats aren't her thing!
🚶‍♀️ Walking Buddy - Roxie enjoys her daily walks and would love a family committed to helping her stay healthy and trim. These walks are the perfect bonding time!
👁️ A Note About Her Vision - Like many senior pups, Roxie has developed cataracts, but she can still see just fine and gets around great!

What Roxie needs:
This sweet senior girl is looking for patient adopters who understand that the best things are worth waiting for. Give her a little time to settle in, and you'll be rewarded with unconditional love and loyalty from a dog who truly appreciates a second chance. 🤗Senior dogs have so much love to give, and Roxie is proof of that! ✨

The Details:
✅ Vaccinated
✅Spayed
✅Recently had full blood work and dental
✅ Non-shedding coat
✅ Great with dogs (no cats please)
💰 Adoption fee: $300

Ready to give Roxie the loving retirement she deserves? If you are interested or have questions, please fill out an adoption form on our website.
