These two silly babies need a new foster home soon! We are trying to get them on a transport to Chicago since they both have felv and one has fiv. They need occasional medical care to make sure they stay in good shape which we would cover, we just need help with the transport. They cannot go to a home with other cats but other animals are fine! We are also open to adopting them out if you're interested! Please message us for more details.

EMERGENCY: We are fundraising to help this poor baby! This momma seems to have had her legs run over, so we are trying to raise funds to cover her emergency vet visit (amount currently unknown). We are also looking for someone who could transport her and cover the cost up front to be reimbursed. To donate, please visit our profile and donate to our GoFundMe, Venmo, or cashapp. All excess funds will go to our general fund. To volunteer to transport her and/or cover the cost up front, please message us. We are really hoping the community will pull together for this.

🫠Today is The Big Give—a day for donating to non-profits. Right now, we're blowing up with calls and emails but.. not with donations, with "emergencies."

‼️"I found babies and brought them inside. They need bottles. I need you to take them."
❌ "My cat is in heat and driving me crazy."
❌ "There are tomcats fighting in my yard!"
❌ "I think my cat might be pregnant and I can't afford to care for them or her now."

👉We are asking for a different kind of "Give" today:

1. **Stop the cycle.** If your cat isn’t fixed, don’t wait until she’s yelling or pregnant. Check our website for low-cost spay/neuter resources. If you have to wait now, please understand—it’s because the window of opportunity was missed and you're not the only one experiencing this.

2. **Be the help on the ground.** See a stray? TNR!!! Don't wait for it to become a litter of six kittens in your crawlspace. Again, head to our website!

3. **Vets, we need you.** We desperately need more veterinary partners willing to provide low-cost spay/neuter. If you can help us battle this from the medical side, please reach out.

😮‍💨Rescues always need supplies, upgrades and just about every kind of resource.. From an empty building to.. toy mice, catnip refills and copier paper. 🐈‍⬛

‼️‼️But more than anything, we need a team and community that refuses to wait until it’s "an emergency" to act.

Help us and other rescues with the battle on the ground. We're all facing the same problems.. let's work together to make the impact bigger!

We will have to completely close intake soon if we do not get more foster homes and donations. We have already limited intake to pregnant queens and kittens. Please consider donating, fostering, or sharing today!

Choose AND NAME your fighter! Be one of the first 6 people to shoot us a message with the name and cat of your choosing and then send us $20 or more and you get the honor of naming one of these little guys. They are 6 weeks old so halfway to being adoptable and just got their first round of shots. We also need more fosters so we can take in more of these little guys as well as volunteers to help process kitties.

We can't believe Mally is still up at Petsense (on Eagle drive!) for adoption with how sweet she is. If you're interested in a kitty cat, she would be perfect for so many homes. We would also love more donations for our kitten registry, which you can find a link to on our pinned post.

LINE UPDATE FOR FRIDAY 4/17/26 at 9am - we are closing the line for free pet vaccines and supplies for today. So sorry guys! The turnout today has been overwhelming and wonderful!

We have never seen the WFR Church parking lot so full! We will be here vaccinating until everyone currently in line is done. If we missed you today, please come early tomorrow!

Thank you RedRover, BISSELL Pet Foundation, and Banfield Foundation for bringing this much needed event to our community! 🐾

We're having a raffle! Spring is a beautiful time, but it brings some awful friends. Kitten season is here, so we're throwing a kitten shower! We have multiple options to enter including buying things from our kitten season registry which we desperately need! Find the links below if you can't use the QR code

Donate $10 or more (more donated, more entries!) and/or buy something off of our kitten season registry (one entry per $10 spent based off subtotal) to enter. We will be pulling multiple names at the Petsense by Tractor Supply spring Adopt-a-thon April 18th! We will also collect cash donations that day for entries. The parking lot will be full of vendors and adoptable pets, so make sure you stop by 1411 Eagle Dr in Ruston 10am-4pm. Don't forget to include a message with your name and contact info when you donate or buy, or just shoot us a message.

Buy from our registry: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/2QUGI3TXP439R?ref_=cm_sw_r_mwn_ggr-subnav-share_NACE8V6FSMK6WEX92KBW&language=en-US

IMPACTFUL INITIATIVES! 🐱💪 Since our inception 21 years ago, Save Ohio Strays has been dedicated to driving meaningful community impact. We are thrilled to report that, in partnership with Possible Animal Hospital LLC, our recent donation facilitated the spaying/neutering of 40 cats yesterday. We look forward to continuing this vital work.

Notably, 24 of the 29 female cats were pregnant, and thanks to our intervention, we prevented the potential suffering of 75 or more kittens. We extend our gratitude to the Mission Possible team for their invaluable support. It is essential that we address the root cause of pet overpopulation. With numerous resources available, it is crucial that we take proactive steps to prevent unnecessary litters and reduce the number of animals euthanized annually.

These sweet girls have been waiting at Petsense for about a month, our longest residents so far in our short lifetime. We hate to see them waiting in that little cage but they have nowhere else to go. The Petsense staff love them and we all want to see them go to a good home. We think they would do best in a house with an older resident, maybe an empty nester looking for some companions! If you're looking for some well-earned love in your life, these girls are for you.
