🌧️🐾 RAIN IS OFFICIALLY CLEARED & READY FOR ADOPTION! 🐾🌧️

After everything this girl has been through, we are SO excited to share that Rain has been medically cleared following her intestinal blockage surgery and is officially ready to find her FOREVER FAMILY! 🥹❤️

Let's talk about what a fighter this girl is!

❤️ Survived rodenticide poisoning
❤️ Battled heartworm disease and WON!
❤️ Underwent emergency surgery to remove TWO large pieces of plastic causing an intestinal blockage
❤️ Made a full recovery and is ready for her next chapter!

And through it ALL, Rain has remained the sweetest, most affectionate girl! 🥰

🐶 A LITTLE ABOUT RAIN:

💕 Total lovebug who wants to cuddle ALL THE TIME!

🐾 Dog friendly! She's done well with small dogs, seniors, and her foster sister.

🦮 Walks nicely on leash, unless her nose catches something extra interesting!

🌿 Loves exploring outside! A fenced yard would be ideal.

🧠 Smart girl who knows sit, down, and leave it!

🏠 Crate trained, but prefers not to be left alone for long periods.

🚗 A little restless in the car, so a doggy seat belt is recommended.

💅 Nail trims require a little extra patience.

🦴 POWER CHEWER ALERT! 🦴

Remember those TWO large pieces of plastic removed during surgery? 😬

Rain takes her chewing VERY seriously! This girl needs durable, heavy-duty toys designed for power chewers ONLY! She should ALWAYS be supervised with toys and chews to prevent her from swallowing pieces and ending up in another emergency situation.

No more expensive plastic snacks for you, ma'am! 😂

🏡 RAIN IS READY FOR HER HAPPY ENDING!

She's overcome more than most dogs ever should, and now it's time for her to experience the one thing she's been waiting for — a family to call her own.

Could that be YOU? ❤️

📝 APPLY TO ADOPT RAIN:

🌟🐾 STILL WAITING… AND WE CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHY! 🐾🌟

Meet Shy Star — the sweetest 74-pound cuddle bug you’ve probably never met, but absolutely should. 💛

While other dogs come and go, Shy Star continues to patiently wait for a family of her own. And honestly? This girl deserves her happy ending.

✨ Loves walks and takes neighborhood bunny patrol VERY seriously 🐰 ✨ Enjoys zoomies in the yard followed by quality couch-snuggle time ✨ Big fan of squeaky toys, peanut butter Kongs, and snacks of all kinds ✨ Professional veggie taste-tester 🥕 ✨ Fantastic in the car ✨ Calm, brave, and absolutely wonderful at the vet ✨ Greets her favorite people with full-body wiggles and the happiest tail wags imaginable

Every morning starts with her adorable stretch and sleepy smile before she settles in to wait for whatever adventure the day brings. She's the kind of dog who doesn't ask for much — just love, consistency, and someone to call her own. ❤️

Shy Star can be a little reserved with men at first, but give her a little patience and you'll discover an incredibly loyal, affectionate companion who loves with her whole heart.

🚫 No cats, please.

After all this time, we're still hoping the right family sees her and realizes she's exactly what they've been missing.

🎃🐾 HALLOWEEN IS SPOOKY ENOUGH… KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE! 🐾👻

Halloween is almost here! While we're enjoying costumes, candy, and spooky fun, let's make sure our four-legged family members have a SAFE and stress-free holiday! 🧡🖤

Ridge’s Rescue wants to remind everyone that Halloween can bring some unexpected dangers for our companion animals!

🍫 CANDY IS FOR HUMANS ONLY!
Chocolate can be toxic to dogs and cats, and sugar-free candy containing xylitol can be deadly to dogs! Keep candy AND wrappers out of reach.

🚪 BEWARE OF ESCAPE ARTISTS!
With trick-or-treaters constantly ringing the doorbell, even the calmest pet might bolt! Keep pets secured away from frequently opened doors.

🪪 CHECK THOSE ID TAGS!
Make sure collars have current identification and microchip information is up to date. Accidents happen!

👻 COSTUMES AREN'T FOR EVERYONE!
Never force a costume on your pet! Make sure it doesn't restrict breathing, movement, hearing, or vision. Watch for small pieces that could be swallowed.

🕯️ WATCH THOSE DECORATIONS!
Candles, electrical cords, glow sticks, and decorations can pose serious risks. Battery-operated candles are a safer choice!

🔊 NOT EVERY PET LOVES A PARTY!
Strange costumes, loud noises, and unfamiliar visitors can be overwhelming. Give your pet a quiet, comfortable place to relax.

🚶 WALK BEFORE DARK!
Take dogs out before trick-or-treating begins. Always use a secure leash and harness, and avoid crowded areas.

🐈‍⬛ KEEP CATS SAFELY INDOORS!
Bring outdoor cats inside before the festivities begin and keep them safe overnight.

🚨 IF YOUR PET GETS INTO SOMETHING DANGEROUS…
Don't wait for symptoms! Contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary hospital immediately.

🧡 REMEMBER: YOUR PET DOESN'T HAVE TO PARTICIPATE TO ENJOY HALLOWEEN!

Sometimes the best celebration is a cozy blanket, a favorite toy, and a peaceful evening away from the chaos. 🐶🐱

From all of us at Ridge’s Rescue, have a HAPPY, SPOOKY, and most importantly, SAFE HALLOWEEN! 🎃🐾

SHARE THIS POST! You never know which pet parent might need the reminder! 🧡
