Join us in wishing Dr. Erin Sheppard a very Happy Birthday as she celebrated her birthday this week! 🥳

Dr. Sheppard joined the Big Lick Vet family over nine years ago in 2017 and we truly can't imagine Big Lick without her! She is a phenomenal veterinarian who is thorough and thoughtful in everything that she does. Clients appreciate her attention to detail and how she explains things in a way that is easy to understand. She treats clients and patient with compassion and care and as a team, we absolutely love working with her! She has the best sense of humor and brings such positive energy into work with her everyday - it's contagious! Dr. Sheppard is such an important part of our team and we're so grateful for everything that she does.

We hope you had the best birthday Dr. Sheppard - you deserve it!! Thanks for all you do for your clients, patients, and team! 🤩

Join us in wishing Vet Assistant Lexi a very Happy Birthday today! 🥳

Lexi joined the Big Lick Vet team in February 2026 and has previous experience working as a Vet Assistant. She grew up on a farm and has been an animal lover her whole life. The next step in Lexi’s journey will have her attending vet tech school and pursuing her dream of becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. We’re here to support her every step of the way! Lexi is a mom to an adorable little boy named Waylon and at home she has a black lab named Chloe. We’re excited to see what the future holds for Lexi here at Big Lick Vet!

We’re so happy we could do a donation drive this April for our friends at Star City Cat Rescue and help them continue their great work! We couldn’t have done it without our amazing clients and friends who donated both online and in person. And if you’re a cat lover like we are, then we would love it if you all would follow and support Star City as they continue to be there for the cats in our community! 🐾🐱

A huge thank you to Big Lick Veterinary Services for hosting an April donation drive for Star City Cat Rescue! 💛

Thanks to their kindness and the generosity of their clients, we received monetary donations, cat food, toys, a water fountain, and other much-needed supplies for the cats in our care. They even put together a raffle basket giveaway, with every donation earning an entry. Such a fun and thoughtful way to support our rescue!

We are so grateful not only for this donation drive, but for the way Big Lick continues to show up for us and our cats. They are always willing to work with us, squeeze in urgent cases when they can, and provide compassionate, high-quality care to some of our most vulnerable kitties.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the entire Big Lick team and everyone who donated. Your support makes a real difference for our rescue and the cats who need us. 🐾
