Did you know that more pets go missing on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year?
While we may enjoy the fireworks, many pets find the loud noises and celebrations frightening. Taking a few precautions can help keep your furry family members safe and stress-free.

•Keep pets indoors before festivities begin. Make sure all doors, windows, and gates are securely closed and locked.

•Create a calm environment by turning on a TV, radio, or white noise machine to help mask the sounds of fireworks.

•Set up a safe space in the innermost room of your home, away from windows and exterior doors.

•Offer a special distraction such as a stuffed Kong®, lick mat, puzzle toy, or favorite chew to help keep your pet occupied.

•Consider calming aids such as a ThunderShirt®, pheromone products, or veterinarian-prescribed anxiety medication if your pet is known to be fearful of loud noises.

•Double-check that your pet is wearing a collar with current identification tags and that any microchip information is up to date.

•Never bring pets to fireworks displays, even if they seem calm. A sudden loud boom can cause even the most well-behaved pet to panic and run.

Let’s make this Independence Day safe and enjoyable for every member of the family, especially the four-legged ones!

If your pet struggles with noise anxiety, give us a call before the holiday so we can discuss options to help them stay comfortable.

There were 2 loose dogs, 20 minutes ago, on Leverton Place. One was brown maybe a lab mix (rather small), the other one was smaller, a white dog with spots. Both were wearing matching bandannas. One had a heart shaped tag, but would not let me see the number, the name may have been Chloe. These dogs were close to Boggs Lane and the Bypass. I could not catch them, it was obvious they aren’t outside dogs…

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Dr. Taylor and Amelia’s 50th wedding anniversary celebration so special.

We spent the afternoon enjoying a delicious brunch, hearing stories and memories from their fifty years of marriage, laughing together, and, of course, celebrating with cake! It was a beautiful time spent honoring two people who have meant so much to our clinic, our clients, and our community.

One of the highlights of the day was presenting them with the keepsake book filled with your messages, memories, and well wishes. They were truly touched by your kind words and said they felt incredibly loved and honored. Your contributions made the day even more meaningful, and we cannot thank you enough for taking the time to share them.

We would also like to give a special thank you to the Conley Family at Central KY Tents & Events for the amazing tent, Rachael at In the Garden, Cut Flowers and Gifts for the gorgeous flower arrangements, Rob and Family at R & A Services, LLC for the delicious food, and Bespoke Bakery and Cafe for the beautiful cake and cookies. Your hard work, attention to detail, and generosity helped create the perfect setting for such a special occasion, and we are incredibly grateful for your contributions.

Congratulations again to Dr. Taylor and Amelia on 50 wonderful years together. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us, shared their well wishes, and helped make this day one they will never forget. May the years ahead be filled with continued love, joy, laughter, and blessings.
