It’s never too late for a fun fact Friday! 🥰 Does your dog breathe or snore loudly? Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome affects brachycephalic, or “short-faced” dogs such as English Bulldogs, Frenchies, and Pugs. These breeds may have an elongated soft palate, stenotic nares, or hypoplastic/narrow trachea making it difficult to breathe normally. BOAS can be life threatening and can lead to secondary health problems but fortunately there are surgeries that can be done to help these breeds breathe more safely and comfortably . If you think your dog may be at risk we can get them scheduled for a BOAS consultation. Call us Monday with any concerns, 859-408-7050!✨💙

Did you know high blood pressure can also be a problem in your pets? Certain health conditions such as kidney disease and heart disease can be key factors. Peanut is being a good patient while Meagan checks his blood pressure. High blood pressure is something that can be easily treated just like it is in most humans! 🐾🩺❤️
