Meet Ilona! She is an adorable and personable ferret that came to us for a spay procedure. Most ferrets in the United States are already spayed and neutered by adoption, but Ilona came from a private breeder. Just like in our dog and cat friends, other species benefit from being spayed. And just like our dog and cat friends, we provide as much anesthetic monitoring as possible in order to support them throughout the procedure - hence the medical "doodads" that are hooked up to her. She came through her procedure with flying colors and is doing fantastically. If you have any questions about spays and their benefits in any species, just let us know!

It's getting chilly! đŸ„¶Cold weather can affect your pet's joints, skin, activity, and routines. Here are a few tips to prepare your pet for wintertime:
- Provide a warm and cozy space off of the floor and away from drafts
- Sweaters or jackets are great for short-haired, small or senior pets
- Limit your pet's time outside in the extreme cold
- Some pets' nutrition needs might change during the winter. Talk to your vet if you think this might be the case.
