🎃🐾 With trick-or-treaters visiting this Halloween, here are a couple of reminders to help keep your pets safe!

🚪 Watch those doors! With trick-or-treaters coming and going, curious pets may try to sneak outside. Scary costumes and unfamiliar visitors can also startle pets and cause them to run away. Keep them in a secure area away from the front door.

🍬 Keep candy out of paws' reach! Chocolate and sugar-free candies containing xylitol can be dangerous for pets. Make sure those treat buckets stay somewhere safe!

Happy Halloween from all of us at Caughlin Ranch Animal Hospital!

🐾Environmental enrichment encourages natural behaviors, helps prevent boredom, reduces stress, and supports cognitive health and overall happiness! ❤️

Here are a few simple ways to enrich your pet's day:

🧩 Puzzle Feeders: Turn mealtime into a fun mental challenge!
🐕 Sniff Walks: Let your dog take their time exploring all those interesting smells.
🥎 Interactive Play: Wand toys, scratching posts, and climbing spaces are great ways to keep cats engaged.
🎾 Rotate Toys: Switching out toys regularly can help keep things new and exciting!

Enrichment doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. Sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest difference in your pet's happiness! 🐶

October is National Pet Wellness Month!🐾💉

Did you know that keeping your pet up to date on vaccinations is one of the simplest ways to protect their health?

Vaccines help protect against serious, potentially life-threatening diseases, and they don't just protect your pet! They also help reduce the spread of contagious illnesses to other animals and, in some cases, people.

Not every pet needs the same vaccines! Your pet's age, lifestyle, and risk factors all play a role in determining which vaccines are recommended.

Not sure if your pet is up to date? Check the Petdesk app or give us a call at 775-312-2264 to discuss their vaccination needs or schedule an appointment!
