How it all began......

Annelise was a horse lover long before she can remember. Annelise was able to purchase Ruby in 2006 with the help of her parents.

She begged her parents for a horse any chance she could get, birthday parties, presents, good grades, even a life size horse on her bedroom wall. Finally they moved just an inch in and allowed her to show miniature horses.This is where it all started and in Annelise's parents minds the downward slope began. After a few years of proving to her parents that she was dedicated to horses through lesson

s, hard work and lots of determination, her dad bought her a horse....

The one that started it all was Classy Cash Flow Ruby, Annelise's first horse. She was Annelise's first horse, her very own, no one else's. Annelise began competing Ruby in 2006 on the AQHA hunter circuit, competing in hunter under saddle, over fences, showmanship and halter. They worked hard and moved up to in the hunter world then into eventing and never looked back. Annelise retired her from the upper levels and leased her out to her students. Ruby has really enjoyed showing the younger kids how its done. She truly is a one of a kind horse.

At AJA Equine, our mission is to help our students learn to excel with their horsemanship and experience personal development, through the use of mounted and unmounted instruction.
We are a unique stable geared towards helping new riders embrace a passion in horses, through a levels based curriculum. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming community of funny, upbeat, and gossip free enthusiastic equestrians! Our quickly growing lesson program is located in Sparks, NV just 7 miles from Reno, NV with wonderful lesson horses and ponies.
Our ideal candidate is a lifelong horse person who is obsessed with horses, children, and sharing your passion! You should be a great conversationalist and an upbeat, cheerful person. You should be organized, responsible, reliable, and fun loving. We expect our candidates to be trainable and open minded to the way we do things, and we will be the same to you.
We are a young, high-energy business, and the open position has the potential to evolve into a rewarding long term career for an equally driven candidate.
You will be responsible for teaching introductory riding lessons on our well schooled lesson horses, using our curriculum and lesson plans to accompany your equestrian experiences.
You will be required to help with some basic stable management and horse care from time to time. You will need to lead unmounted group horsemanship classes.
Your availability includes weekday evenings and Saturday daytime hours.
The perks to joining our team, include being a part of a fun family-like community of horse enthusiasts. There is potential for a stall for a horse.

Unfortunately due to a nationwide shortage of horses, we will now be using zebras in all of our summer camp programs! Kiddos who had seasonal leases this year will be offered their choice of giraffe or unicorn as a substitute.
