of prime chukar country. We are proud members of the American Brittany Club and we were established in 2000.

🐾 The "Double Puppy" Myth: Understanding Littermate Syndrome
We often receive requests from families wanting to adopt two puppies at once so they’ll have a "built-in friend." While the intention is wonderful—nobody wants a lonely puppy—this can actually lead to a serious developmental hurdle called Littermate Syndrome.
Our Commitment to Your Success
Because we are deeply committed to the long-term well-being of our dogs, our policy is that we will not place two puppies from the same litter into the same household. The only exceptions are families we know extremely well who have proven experience with the intensive, independent training required.
This policy ensures your puppy bonds with you, not just their sibling.
🚩 Why "Two at Once" is Tricky
When puppies grow up as a pair, they often bond so intensely with each other that they struggle to connect with their human family. This can lead to:
Hyper-Dependency: Panicking or shutting down if they aren't in the same room.
Distracted Learning: They are often too focused on each other to listen to human cues.
Social Shyness: Fear or aggression toward "outside" dogs because their social circle is a closed loop.
The "Bully" Dynamic: One pup often becomes dominant while the other becomes withdrawn.
💡 The "Staggered" Approach
The most successful way to build a multi-dog home is to wait until your first dog is at least 1–2 years old. A stable, trained older dog makes an excellent mentor for a new puppy, ensuring both pets get the individual attention they deserve.
