Pet Memorial Sunday guest spotlight!

Welcome to our 14th Annual Pet Memorial Sunday event, L. Rodgers!

L. is a songwriter and singer from Baltimore, MD.

You may recognize her from Team Reba on Season 25 of the Voice where she was the recipient of the coveted Playoff Pass and made the Top 12 Live Shows.

We are so excited that L. reached out to us to share that she had recently experienced the loss of her beloved dog, Riley, and she wanted to join us to honor and celebrate Riley by singing at our event.

This is a special day set aside just to remember and celebrate the pets we have loved and lost.
This event is free and open to the public.
Donations are accepted.
Accessible parking and seating are available.

You don’t have to go through it alone. Join our free Pet Bereavement Support Group, meeting Tuesday, September 2 at 7 pm via Google Meet.

Bring an item from our wish list for our Bmore Humane Pet Food Bank and receive a raffle ticket for your choice of our Dog Lovers or Cat Lovers baskets or one of three gift cards!

Speaker Spotlight!
Karen Klima
On June 16, 2018 Karen's beloved dog, Lucy, died. In an effort to deal with the "profound grief", Karen joined the BHS Pet Loss Support Group.
Karen, a Baltimore native and registered nurse, became a certified pet loss grief counselor and started her own group, LOU: Lifting Others Up-Pet Loss Grief Support Group.
Karen will be discussing her journey through the loss of Lucy and founding her group.
Our Pet Memorial Sunday event is Sunday, September 7 at 6 pm at the entrance to our beautiful cemetery.

14th Annual Pet Memorial Sunday speaker spotlight:

Allie Wolfing, LCSW-C,

Allie is a grief counselor at Gilchrist, and has been working in the hospice and grief field since 2017. She has experienced her own personal losses that have helped to empathize, normalize, and educate bereaved clients.
Her beloved cat, Camden (pictured here), died last July. She memorializes, honors, celebrates, and remembers all of her loved ones during late October and early November during Dia de los Mu***os, including Camden.

Allie will be discussing how people honor their pets during the Dia de los Mu***os holiday.
