This is Sarah. I have been watching her for a few years. She lost her big sister earlier this year. Its been tough on everyone including her. She is starting to bounce back some. While her family was away, I decided to do something different to update them and have a little fun. Here is a text I sent:

Dear Mom, life has been rough since you've been gone. This woman has brushed me, made me go out in the rain last night to go potty and she has the audacity to pay attention to the rodent upstairs. I had to yell at her this morning while she was taking care of the rodent, I needed to remind her I'm the princess and deserve all the attention. She has pet me, walked me and played with me but that doesn't undo her bad qualities! I am exhausted having to put her in her place!

Easter is just around the corner and you know what Easter for many of us means - fresh floral bouquets and Easter lilies! 💐

If you have cats in your house or are sending flowers to cat households, please find arrangements that don't have lilies, or find a safe place away from cats to display them. Any plant in the lilium species are considered toxic. Calla lily, peace lilies, and lily-of-the-valley are only lilies by name and not by species and they don't pose the same threat as other lilies, but they are still toxic and can cause mild to moderate illnesses.

If you think your cat has come in contact with a lily (remember, even the water they sit in can be toxic), please call your veterinarian or local emergency veterinary clinic immediately. Lily toxicity is deadly to cats when not treated at all, and deadly if not treated soon enough! (BVC had a case of lily toxicity just last week!)
