The Dogs Playing for Life Rescue Express bus has arrived — and so have our newest four-legged friends! 🐶💛

We’re thrilled to welcome these incredible “helper” dogs through Dogs Playing for Life’s Triple E Training Transports Program (Every Dog, Every Day, Everywhere!). This life-saving initiative rescues social, playful dogs from overcrowded Florida shelters and gives them a second chance to shine — helping other shelter dogs build confidence and finding loving homes of their own.

We’re honored to be part of a program making such a positive impact on shelter dogs’ lives. 🐕✨

Parsa is truly one of a kind and has been waiting since October 2024 for a home. 💔

She is sweet, spunky, and full of love. When greeting you she will give both paws, lean in for pets, and just want to be as close to you as possible.

In foster, she enjoyed napping, walks, and playing with her toys.

Here at the shelter, she has enjoyed playing with her buddy Lorenzo, enjoying enrichment time, and hiking on our trails!

If you’re looking for a laid-back girl who also enjoys a good adventure, Parsa is the one for you!

Emergency Pet Food Drive – Help keep pets in our community fed!

The Baltimore Humane Society’s Bmore Kind Pet Food Bank is preparing for a surge in demand. With the current SNAP benefits shutdown and many federal workers furloughed, countless families in our community are struggling to feed their beloved pets.

How You Can Help:
- Donate unopened dry or canned dog and cat food (no expired items, please).
- Share this message to spread the word.
- Host a pet food collection at your business, school, or in your neighborhood.

Meet our Volunteer of the Month- Anna!

We have a large property at BHS with many beautiful trails for our shelter dogs to explore! Anna dedicated over 32 hours to create and revise our trail maps from scratch. Her specialized skills and collaborative spirit made it possible for volunteers to navigate our trail system effectively.

In addition to her work on the trails, Anna also served as a cat socializer and formed a special bond with Frankie, a black cat who was once very thin. We’re pleased to report that Frankie is doing exceptionally well and has become quite the little vacuum. His coat has filled out nicely, and he looks like a completely different cat now!

Here is what Anna has to say about volunteering at BHS:

“I love volunteering at BHS because everyone is passionate about the work they do to make these animals' lives as comfortable as possible for the time they pass through. As a volunteer, I am continually impressed with how organized the volunteer program is and how accessible information is for anyone who wants to help. It's a well-oiled machine!”

🐱 Rivero & Raya are a bonded pair who love cozy naps, gentle pets, and quiet companionship.

✨ Adoption fees are waived for Barry, Rivero, and Raya this week!

Adopters can stop by Monday from 12PM - 4PM and Tuesday-Sunday from 12PM - 5PM. Or visit bmorehumane.org to see all of our adoptable animals.
