RWRA sends their deepest condolences to the LaMalfa family. Doug LaMalfa was a great man and will be deeply missed

As we continue to process the heartbreaking loss of Representative Doug LaMalfa, we find comfort in remembering the genuine man he was — a true friend of the Redding Rodeo and of our entire community.

This photo is more than just a memory; it’s a reflection of Doug’s character. He wasn’t just a supporter — he was one of us. A proud member of the Redding Rodeo Association, he wore the red shirt with honor and heart.

Doug had a way of making you feel heard. He took time to shake your hand, hear your story, and of course — take that photo with you. His presence was steady, kind, and real.

We are still in disbelief that he was taken from us so soon. But his legacy will ride on, forever a part of our rodeo family.
