There is a better way (The No Kill Equation), and no excuse for not trying like hell to eliminate the unnecessary killing of healthy and/or treatable shelter animals. socialized, and networked to find suitable adoptive homes; and are no longer places where animals are just numbers and statistics, and likely to be killed after a set period of time or due to color, breed, appearance or behavior. IMAGINE shelters being places where every animal stands their best chance at finding the loving home they deserve; and that all unnecessary killing is completely eliminated. THEN IMAGINE the people, partnerships, resources, programs, services, values and committment necessary to achieve our NO KILL vision. Can it get any worse than watching most, half, or even some animals killed simply due to the passage of time or need for space?
