Press Release Arrest🚨**
On October 21, 2024 Deputy CJ Ahart was on patrol near Wildcat Chevrolet where he was dispatched to an alarm call. Upon arrival Deputy Ahart observed a vehicle driving down Cadiz Mill Road behind Wildcats Chevrolet dealership. Deputy Ahart conducted a traffic stop and the driver was identified as Deshaun Dials. Deputy Ahart requested K9 Rex to assist him on the scene due to learning there was another individual who fled the area. Once K9 Rex was deployed, they tracked the second suspect who was caught hiding in a gas station near by and identified as Elgie Holmes. It was determined the vehicle that was stopped was the drop-off vehicle for the passenger to steal a truck from Wildcat Chevrolet. Video surveillance indicated that Holmes was attempting to steal a black Chevy pickup truck on the lot of the dealership. The suspects were in possession of a scanning machine that would allow them to start any vehicle without the key fob. Deputy Ahart was assisted by Cadiz Police and K9 Rex. This makes the second recovered vehicle stolen from Wildcat Chevrolet in the month of October. The investigation has been turned over to TCSO Detective Shawn Young. Great work by TCSO and Cadiz Police.
