To everyone but a Few people this will look like a very simple video, but it’s not!
This mare was dropped off to sell because she was just “nasty” at home. Everytime the farrier tried to trim her back end she’d fire out multiple times. You couldn’t cinch her up, pet her back end or even be around it comfortably. The horse didn’t even want you looking at her.
When she showed up her face said she was in major pain and I went with a gut feeling that it was hormonal. After giving her some meds, THAT NIGHT she walked up to me in her pen. Her whole face had softened. Three days later her owner came to see the difference and they thought I gave them a different horse she was so different 🤣
It’s been a few weeks now and I asked for some updates, they’ve been out trail riding and the horse asks for “kisses” now 🩷
So the fact I could walk up and do this while she’s comfortable in her pen was such progress.
Let this be your reminder to listen to your horse. Attitude and pain are two VERY different things. I don’t make excuses for bad behavior but I knew this was something very different
Thank you peebles for letting me share this!
