With nearly 300 acres added to the training grounds this offseason we’ve been busy putting in new trails, nearly four miles in the last two days.

These trails will be planted with mixes to help support ruffed grouse, deer, and all other game species here.

Dogs have a funny way of bringing people together.
I first met and at grouse camp in Eagle River Wisconsin years ago. It’s where I encountered Gordon Setters for the first time and more importantly Spencer.

Today is Spencer’s 15th Birthday! Even more importantly his golden birthday. Few dogs have the lore and presence that Spencer has, and he can back it up. From Prarie chickens to grouse he made countless memories with his owners and with us here at superior upland.

We love you Spencer happy birthday buddy !

Everyone say hi to Brodie ! He’s here for our puppy program for a couple months , and to learn how to contain all the energy he has to give.

His brother Otis was just here for our puppy program and these two boys have prey drive for days.

We worked on our simulated bird/gun introductions today after getting through basic obedience /introduction to e collar. He’s going to be a hell of a dog once he gets through the program.
