Did you know that The Raleigh Dog Spaw is located right next to the Falls Dam? You can park and walk the gorgeous trails straight to the gorgeous Lake/ River. Its a great way ro get your dog tired before a nice spaw day. Did you know walking your dog is a way to keep them mentally healthy as well as humans? When the leaves start changing this place is a must see!

Photo of Charlotte my dog and Peony one of my Foster Kiddos. She is a tripod and makes the 2.5 mile walk like a champ. Peony lost her leg due to a severe deformity and I fostered her through her surgery and recovery.
Fun fact I also bottle fed her.

She is perfect but needs the right family and will hang with me until the right people show up. 💓🫶🏻💓

I just want to take a moment to let you all know how much it means to me to see how happy you are with my services.

I can say I have had a 95% client retention rate since opening which is epic in my opinion.
I wish it was 100%

I wish I could make every person in the world feel so great by providing the best service they have ever had.

I strive to give you and your dogs a better service. I care about you and I care about your dogs. I am emotionally invested in this and I strive to make my business better.

Im constantly thinking of better ways to serve you and your dogs. Thank you so much for making me feel loved. My goal isnt to be in the paper, or the best of the best. My goal is to provide a service that is unmatched to the people who support me. I am so grateful.

There is something special about little scruffy dogs but this guy is a absolute charmer.
I just know Jackson is a older sophisticated type he likes his whiskey neat and enjoys strolling through the historic districts of the city enjoying the architecture designs of the old buildings.
He is calm and collected.

Stella's progress is absolutley undeniable.
She came in to The Raleigh Dog Spaw, after being told by a local vet groomer that she needed to be sedated to be groomed and have her nails trimmed/buffed.
The video is long, but if you are interested in learning about my approach I explain a lot in this video.

1) Allowing a dog to come into the salon for a visit and introduction to the table, and tools without actually "using them" is a huge help.
This appointment is mostly about letting the dog get acclimated to me, the environment and tools. Desensitization and exposures are the only thing that happens along with trust building and bonding.

2) Don't push it. Don't move to quickly on things. Progress is progress. End your session on a positive note. If you can only trim one nail safely and with the dogs comfort that's ok.
Next time you can trim two. ☺️

3) The goal is to help the dog Chang the way they feel about the service by incorporating treats and taking breaks for pets and praise.

On stellas first visit age could not even stand on the table or be on the groomingg loop comfortably. The sight of nail trimmers was a trigger and i could barely get them near her.

This progress is after 3 visits!
This is why I love incorporating behavior modification and, desensitization/exposures positive reinforcement. Grooming/Training in one 💓💓💓
