Each year, LCR rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes well over 1,000 neglected or abandoned animals with the help from volunteers. Last Chance Ranch® (LCR) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization rescuing and rehabilitating equines, farm and domestic companion animals. LCR is dedicated to promoting and educating the public to humane and responsible treatment of equines, farm animals and other domesti

c companion animals including dogs and cats. LCR provides a safe and secure refuge for abused, unwanted or neglected animals. LCR rehabilitates the physical ailments of these rescued animals and places them into homes where they receive the love, attention and care they deserve. Our follow-up programs, educational seminars and clinics ensure their continued well-being. Last Chance Ranch was founded in 1999 as a 501c3 non-profit equine rescue, focusing on slaughter-bound equines. In 2005, after assisting with the recovery efforts of Hurricane Katrina, LCR reorganized as a companion and farm animal rescue. A few years later in 2007, LCR expanded to 25 additional acres which allowed for additional barnyard animal enclosures and plans for a future kennel. Currently, LCR’s 35-acre facility has the ability to house more than 150 animals of all types. Last Chance Ranch Animal Rescue is not affiliated with any other organizations. Last Chance Ranch has learned that there may be some lingering confusion among the public with respect to the former affiliation of Lori McCutcheon with LCR. The purpose of this announcement is to confirm that while Lori McCutcheon was the founder of LCR and continues to own the real estate where our facilities are located, she has not held a position within LCR since December, 2017. Since that time she has no authority to represent LCR or to hold herself out as having an ongoing affiliation with LCR. 🐾🏡 Are you a pet owner in need of assistance, maybe going through hard times and having trouble providing food for your furry family members? Come visit LCR Saturday, September 12th from 10am - 11am (or as supplies last).
We will have limited pet food available for free to help struggling pet owners in our community including dogs, cats, and small critter food available.
We do ask that pet owners complete an informational survey to help us to grow our services for our community and help keep pets in their homes for future events!

🐾📸 In honor of National Dog Day, our amazing friends at Jack Lehr Heating Cooling & Electric hosted a contest to find the cutest pet and little miss Lola was the winner! 👑 They were kind enough to donate $1,000 to LCR in recognition of Lola's victory to continue to support our mission and help animals in need. Thank you to everyone who participated in their contest and special thanks to Lola & her human for stopping by to say hello! 🧡 Totally terrific Thursday with tripawd Trix 🌈
Meet everybody’s new best friend, Trix! This handsome dude is all about the good vibes and enjoying life to its fullest. Trix found himself in need of a new family when his owner became homeless. This former city boy is soaking up life in the country and has been having an absolute blast regardless of his situation. He is the kind of guy you want by your side on a tough day because he always has a smile on his face and will be ready to get you out of your funk! We don’t know how he lost his leg or what his life was like prior but we do know one thing, he is a gem and we loved this field trip just as much as he did. Any day with Trix is a good day in our book 🫶

Join us for one of our biggest events of the year as hundreds of animal lovers visit the ranch for a fun-filled day of rescued animals, family activities, shopping, food, raffles, live music, and more! This event is rain or shine!

We're sorry but the old Reggie can't come to the phone right now... Why? Oh cause Velvet Tails - Luxury Pet Services transformed him into a distinguished gentleman yesterday! 🕶️🕺
Catch Reggie around LCR sporting his new do, he sure does have an extra pep in his step knowing he looks as good as he feels. 🤩 Thank you so much to Matt and Jenna for taking the time out of your busy schedules to help a rescue dog in need! If anyone is looking for grooming services in the area be sure to check them out. Bonus, Reggie received a raving report card as he is a certified very good boy (duh!) 💯 This boy is an excellent example of rags to riches. He was found as a stray in the busy city, an overgrown shaggy boy with a past due glow-up, and now he is living his best life and waiting for his furever family to come find him. 😍
