And more exciting news! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Sung Park (and his adorable cat, December)! 🐾

One of our new veterinarians, Dr. Park joined Firgrove Veterinary earlier this month, and we couldn't be more excited to have him on the team.

Dr. Park brings a wealth of experience in emergency veterinary medicine for both pets and livestock. Before joining Firgrove, he worked as a mixed animal vet at a rural emergency hospital in Minnesota, where he sharpened his surgical skills caring for all kinds of animals.

For Dr. Park, helping others is a life purpose. He loves working alongside diverse species, and he dreams of one day practicing veterinary medicine in many different countries around the world. But what stands out most is his heart.

"I work as hard as I can," Dr. Park shared. "I think a lot about what others are going through and how I can make their day a little bit better."

Compassionate, dedicated, and driven by care for both patients and their people — Dr. Park is a perfect fit for our community.

We have some exciting news to share! Please join us in welcoming Dr. Natalie Harrington to the Firgrove Veterinary family! 🎉 Dr. Harrington joined us earlier this month as an Associate Veterinarian and is now seeing patients.

Dr. Harrington earned her DVM from Washington State University and holds a BS in Evolution, Ecology, and Conservation from the University of Washington. Her experience spans clinic work, transfusion medicine, and radiology, with special interests in animal behavior and soft tissue surgery.

She is a certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian® through the Feline Veterinary Medical Association and is completing her Fear Free certification. Dr. Harrington is deeply committed to patients' mental well-being and to minimizing stress for better outcomes.

"I provide well-rounded, holistic care to my patients, including preventive medicine, pain management, nutritional guidance, and behavioral support," Dr. Harrington shared. "I know how important my own pet's health is to me, and I am honored to contribute to that for others. I look forward to building long-term connections with pets, families, and the local community."

When she's not in the clinic, you'll find Dr. Harrington hiking, camping, tide pooling, painting, cooking, and sewing. She shares her home with four pets: black cats Boki (anxious but very chatty) and Howl (always looking for trouble), Labrador retriever Mercy (a fan of holding hands, late-night snacks, and long beach walks), and tabby cat Vesper — self-appointed fun police of the household. 🐾

July 15 is Pet Fire Safety Day, which is as perfect a time as any to take a few small steps now that could make a big difference later. Place a pet alert sticker on your window so responders know animals are inside. Keep a go-bag with food, water, and medical records near the door.
