Meet our dynamic duo of housemates who recently made a trip to the clinic after one of them decided a rat looked more like a snack than a roommate. 🐀😳

The other? Completely innocent… allegedly. She didn’t eat the rat, but her owner wanted to make absolutely sure she wasn’t involved in the shenanigans. Because when one housemate makes questionable life choices, EVERYONE is under investigation. One came in with a suspicious snack history, and the other came in simply because she was in the vicinity of the crime.

Remember: You may be innocent until proven guilty, but in a multi-pet household, you’re always a suspect! 😹❤️

When Elmer the Beagle got his paws on some raw chocolate chip dough, things quickly took a turn! 🐶🍪

His pet parents brought him to UrgentVet Carytown, where the team acted quickly to help. With medication to induce vomiting, they discovered Elmer had eaten a whopping 2.4 pounds of dough! 🍞

Raw bread dough can be dangerous for pets because the yeast continues to ferment in their stomach, producing alcohol that can lead to toxicity. Add chocolate to the mix, and it's important to seek veterinary care right away.

Thankfully, Elmer got the care he needed!

When your pet runs into a bit of "Ruff Timing", UrgentVet is here to help. 🐾
