We will be open all week and weekend. Unfortunately, this time of year can be challenging for our pets. Whether its age, illness, weather related or an accident, a pets passing is never easy. We know we cannot ease your grief, but we can offer assistance during your time of need. If your pet passes at home or at a vet clinic, we can be available to pick them up same day, or you can bring them to our facility located in Prescott. This beautiful Husky is SKYE. She was tied outside in Flagstaff in horrible shape. She has been fostered in Flagstaff until today when the Foster gave notice that she was moving today and could not take the dog, no notice. Can anyone open your home to this poor girl. She is 9 years old.. spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.. Great w other dogs, no cats. let me know ASAP.

We understand how difficult it is to lose a beloved companion. That is why we work directly with families. We believe the family deserves to choose where their pet goes after they pass and which urns/keepsake will be most meaningful to honor their memory. Here are some important facts to keep in mind when that difficult day comes

🏡 What do I do if my pet passes at home?
🐾Call Serene Waters Pet Cremation (928) 582-1001. We will provide instructions on how to keep your pets body safe and prepare you for transport, or we can pick up your pet and transport them back to our facility. Your pet will be wrapped in blankets during transport.

🏥 What do I do if my pet is euthanized at a vet clinic?
🐾Ask your vet which crematory they partner with. There are only 2 local crematories available: Serene Waters Pet Cremation and High Desert Cremation. Many local vet clinics are partnered with crematories in Phoenix. It’s important to know you have a choice on where your pet goes after they have passed. Here at Serene Waters, we are the only Aquamation facility in Northern Arizona who offers compassionate eco friendly water cremation.

🫶🏻What do I do if my pet is elderly or sick and I need to start planning for their passing?
🐾 Call Serene Waters Pet Cremation. We are here to help you navigate this difficult journey. We can help you find a trusted vet who can provide in home or in office euthanasia. We can walk you through the entire process and what to expect. We can also keep your information on file. That way when the day comes to say goodbye, the paperwork is already complete which gives you more time to love on your pet.

It may never feel like the right time to talk about your pets end of life and after life care. But here at Serene Waters, we believe being prepared is the best way to help you and your pet through this very difficult time. Here are some answers to some of our most common questions:

🐾How does water cremation work?

Water Cremation (Aquamation) uses a machine that creates an environment which speeds up the natural decomposition process, also known as Alkaline Hydrolysis.

🐾Do I get ashes back?

Yes. After Aquamation, your pets mineral remains are dried out and ground into a powder like “ash” which is typically off white in color. Your pets cremains are then placed in a compostable bag inside a thoughtful memory box. In addition, we can provide ink prints, clay prints and fur clippings to help you remember your cherished companion.

🐾How do I get my pet to your facility?

We offer pick up services from your home or vet clinic. So whether your pet passes on their own or with the assistance of a veterinarian, we can help safely transport their bodies to our facility. Even if your vet is not contracted with Serene Waters, just let them know you would like to use our services and they will be happy to accommodate. You may also transport your pet to our facility on your own.

🐾I do not have a vet, who do I contact for euthanasia services?

You can contact Serene Waters. We have a great relationship with many of our local mobile vets and vet clinics. We will call around on your behalf for free to help find you the best service to fit your preferences and budgetary needs. We believe the last moments you have with your pet should be spent loving on them, not making phone calls.
