Check out this story! 😳
“A few weeks ago I was at the end of my rope. Our almost 11 year old 160lb English Mastiff had been suffering with endless diarrhea. 😅
We all were going crazy trying to manage his symptoms and keep our backyard clean. 🏡🧼
I thought we had changed Charlie to a “good food” because that’s what the marketing told me it was. When I sent the ingredient list to Adelle she texted back almost instantly and said “you need to burn that bag.” 🔥
As our conversation continued, I learned about ingredient splitting, carbohydrates and kibble processing. Once I saw the label for what it really was, I was appalled. 😤
Budget wise, at 160lbs, we feed kibble. Pawz N Clawz helped us choose a higher quality kibble that still fit our budget and encouraged us to feed “any raw you can.”
We started adding about 10% raw food to the new kibble, and within days Charlie’s bowel movements improved, and we no longer have p**p soup in the backyard.
💩
It baffles me to think what we had been feeding was marketed as healthy and balanced. Once we realized the lack of regulations around pet food marketing I understood even more deeply how important it is to have the help of a neutral third party, a store that does their homework and is able to see through marketing myths in order to recommend food that is actually beneficial to our pets.
Our vet said last month that Charlie is the healthiest, oldest English Mastiff she’s ever seen, and we want to keep it that way!”
