🚨 Community Alert: Senior Assassin Water Gun Game Underway 🚨
Prescott High School’s annual Senior Assassin game has officially begun.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Senior Assassin is a student tradition where seniors stalk or “shoot” each other with water guns in an attempt to be the last senior standing. It's similar to a game of hide-and-seek, but with water guns. Due to the nature of the game, which involves a degree of hiding and sneaking to surprise others, every year we receive calls from concerned community members about suspicious subjects in the area.
Although the Prescott Unified School District, Prescott High School, or the Prescott Police Department does not support or endorse the game, we feel it’s important to share this information so everyone can be aware and stay safe.
Important Reminders for Students:
-You cannot enter anyone’s home without clear permission from the homeowner.
-You cannot open someone’s car door, shoot a moving vehicle, or shoot while inside a moving vehicle.
-Destruction or damage to property will not be tolerated.
-Keep in mind that the public may not be aware of the game and may perceive you as a threat, especially if they believe you are using a real gun.
-Use water pistols that are brightly colored and are clearly toys. Hiding in dark places and carrying anything that can be mistaken for a firearm is dangerous as well as wearing masks or camouflage.
For your safety and the safety of others, this activity is prohibited at Prescott High School, off-campus PHS events, churches, places of work, and the YMCA.
If you are approached by a police officer, do not run or hide. Please calmly explain the game and cooperate with the officers. We’re here to ensure everyone’s safety.
To the Community:
If you witness anything suspicious, do not engage with the individuals involved. Contact Prescott Police Dispatch at 928-445-3131 or 911 in case of emergencies.
