I was taking a trip down memory lane when I stumbled upon this comment ✨again✨… Im just as baffled as the first time it came across my feed lmao

People feel emboldened to say whatever they want on social media. Emmy was the first feral mama cat I ever fostered. She scared me to death and knew it too. There were multiple occasions when I let my guard down or crossed a boundary that ended with serious injuries. By the time of this recording, Emmy had made it very clear that she was not open to an indoor lifestyle. I made plans to release her back where she was trapped BUT there was NO way I would be doing that without vaccines and a spay appointment first.

The night before her surgery, she refused to go in a humane trap by herself. That left me with one final option before calling to cancel the appointment and trying again the following week - a hand grab. Was it pretty? No. But we made it! And Emmy is now living her best outdoor, FERAL life!

Huge news here at Roo’s!! Mune found her purrfect parent💗 She’ll be going home any day now and (as you can see) she is enthused!!

Would you believe me if I told you I have Pigeon’s bio brother at home????🤩

If you don’t already know the pigeon lore, let me catch you up! Pigeon is one of 4 cats that randomly showed up at my work this Spring. The area is a hotspot for coyotes so I knew immediately that they had either been recently displaced or dumped. Back in March we were able to trap 3 of the 4 cats we spotted. The 4th had not been seen since then and naturally I feared the worst.. UNTIL NOW!!

I received a text from work with a picture that looked an awfully lot like Pigeon… I ran to my room to check he hadn’t escaped. Thankfully he was snuggled up in bed which left the question, who is this imposter?? Based on the personality, mannerisms, and location, I’m 85% sure we’ve found Pigeon’s bio brother! I trapped him and brought him home to quarantine - he’s a handsome lil guy and he’s already earned a name.

I’m not saying you HAVE to adopt a black cat BUT I am saying if everyone that adopted a cat ALSO adopted a little black shadow, our overpopulation crisis in shelters would be SIGNIFICANTLY reduced😌 just a thought..

Black cats are statistically less likely to be adopted and more likely to be euthanized when they enter our shelter system through no fault of their own. If you are in the market for a cat, please consider adopting a void. I have FOUR available for adoption right now! (Mine, Mox, Spleen, Willa) I PROMISE you won’t regret it🖤
