๐ Shelter Notes:
10/29/2025- When picking dog up from out of bin, she held a tense body, hard stare. When picking dog up, she turned and snapped towards my hand. Growling in kennel, tense body, follows hand.
10/30/2025- When picking dog up from out of bin, he held a tense body, hard stare. When picking dog up, he turned and snapped towards my hand. Growling in kennel, tense body, follows hand.
10/31/2025- Approaching kennel, Fennel is low growling at the front of the kennel holding a hard stare, clawing at the door, and tensed up body. After opening kennel door, dog fled to the back of kennel still growling with whale eyes (had to towel wrap to place in bin).
11/1/2025- Approaching kennel, Fennel came to me slowly as I offered treats with baby talk. She rolled over with a fast tail wag and low ears as I attempted to carry her.
11/2/2025- Puppy scurried away, cowered, low growled, lip licked, turned away, tense body, tail between legs.
11/3/2025- 11:28 a.m. Growling when walking past her kennel. When I opened kennel door, was scurrying away at back of kennel. Took a lot of baby talk to coax her forward, close enough to pick up and place in temp kennel during cleaning. Still growling when passing by kennel throughout cleaning. Once back in kennel and given treats, began begging for treats when I would walk past instead.
11/4/2025- Approaching kennel, Fennel low growled with whale eyes and body turned away. But after some baby talk, she began to come to me with lowered body and tucked tail. After placing her in bin with siblings, she readily ate treats and would peek over at me while leaning on her hind legs.
11/5/2025- Approaching kennel, Fennel comes to me with a low head and fast tail wag as I baby talk to him. Held a tense body when carrying her into temp kennel. Noticed her low growling at staff member attempting to interact from behind the kennel door bars.
11/6/2025- Sitting in the back of kennel with low head. As I baby talked while opening the kennel door, she began to have a wiggly body and wagging tail, army crawled towards me with a very wiggly body.
11/7/2025- Dog was in the back of the kennel growling, and as I approached, she crouched her head and as I tried to pet her she moved her head down again. Then I tried giving her some treats and she took it out of my palm and then began to get closer with wagging tail.
11/8/2025- Very shy, tense, and whale eyes, so I just approached using baby talk to carry her and put in the cage. While I was cleaning her bedroom, she was trembling in the cage.

10/29/25 โ 8.4 lbs. Normal exam. Vaccinated for DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies, Pyrantel, and Advantage Multi for 3.0โ9 lb dogs applied.
