Almost 3 years… and still no one has chosen him. 💔

Vito has been waiting.
And waiting.
And waiting…

While other dogs come and go, find homes, get their happy endings…
Vito stays behind.

Not because he’s done anything wrong.
Not because he isn’t a good dog.

But because people see his breed…
and they decide who he is before ever meeting him.

They see “Pit Bull / Rottweiler”…
and they walk away.

They never see him.

They never see the gentle soul who is kind to every living thing.
The dog who can be trusted completely alone in the house.
The one who is patient with kids… soft with cats… playful when invited… calm when it matters.

His foster says it best: “He’s the perfect dog.”

And still… no one chooses him.

For almost 3 years, Vito has quietly been everything anyone could ever want in a dog… hoping that one day, someone will look past the label and finally see his heart.

He doesn’t need training.
He doesn’t need fixing.
He doesn’t need a “chance.”

He just needs someone to see him.

Because the truth is…
whoever adopts Vito isn’t saving him.

They’re getting the best dog of their life!!!

Please… help us share Vito.
His family is out there somewhere.

He’s just been waiting far too long. 🐾💔

Thank you to everyone who showed up for Julia and KiKi 🖤

Because of you, Julia had her recheck and is healing well from her Demodex diagnosis and KiKi was able to get the eye removal surgery she needed.

And as always, the need never stops. This week we found another dog on the street, Malva, suffering from severe flea allergies. The donations that came in are already helping us get her the care she needs.

Marvin, who came to us with a hip fracture, also had his recheck and he is healing with steady progress.

We are so grateful for every single one of you. You are the reason we can keep saying yes when dogs need us most 🙏

First, we want to say THANK YOU to everyone who donated toward Julia’s care. ❤️🙏🐶 Because of you, we are able to continue saying “yes” to dogs who need us most.

And then… yesterday happened.

A volunteer’s daughter brought home this tiny puppy from a classmates house with a severely injured eye. We don’t know exactly what happened or how long she had been suffering, but she smelled strongly of infection and was in terrible condition.

We rushed her to the vet immediately. Unfortunately, her eye could not be saved and had to be removed due to the severity of the infection. We named her KiKi. At the same time, we also rescued two adult dogs from the same home—both extremely skinny and covered in fleas. So in just 48 hours… we have taken in 4 new dogs.

This is the reality we face every day. The suffering never stops. The need never ends.

And we will always show up… but we can’t do it without YOU!

If you feel called to help, and want to throw a few more bones KiKi’s way, we would be so grateful.

But the most powerful way to help us is by becoming a monthly recurring donor.

Why? Because recurring donations allow us to:
• Say “yes” immediately in emergencies like this and not have to get on social media and beg for money again and again.
• Cover ongoing vet care, medications, and food
• Plan ahead instead of constantly reacting to crisis
It gives us stability in a world that is completely unpredictable.

While we were out picking up dogs for sterilization, a neighbor called us about this suffering street dog.

We weren’t planning to take in another dog, but we could not leave her behind suffering.

This is Julia. She needs help and we are asking for it.🙏

Right now, due to lack of funding, every new rescue requires sponsorship.

Can you throw us a few bones to help cover her care?

Thank you for always showing up for these dogs—we truly couldn’t do this without you. 🖤

✨ Thank You, Northwest Dog Project ✨

Because of your incredible grant generosity, we were able to complete 37 spay and neuter surgeries for dogs in Chapala, Mexico this month 🇲🇽🐾

This means 37 dogs protected… and hundreds of future puppies prevented from being born into suffering.

We traveled into rural villages, picked up each dog, transported them to our vet for surgery, and returned them safely home the next day with aftercare support. It was a big operation — multiple long days, miles on the road, and a lot of coordination — but this is the work that changes everything.

This is how we break the cycle and this is how we create a lasting impact.

🚗 And a BIG shoutout to our 27-year-old Ford Expedition for somehow still getting us everywhere we need to go for these surgery transports 😅 She’s tired… and honestly, so are we. A new (reliable) rescue vehicle with air conditioning is definitely on our wish list.🙏

To Northwest Dog Project — thank you for believing in this mission and for funding real, on-the-ground change. Your support is felt not just by us, but by every family and every dog you helped.

We are so grateful to be doing this work together 🩷

443 days……That’s how long Jenny waited in foster care with us!

443 days of watching other dogs leave.
443 days of wondering when it would be her turn.
443 days of holding onto hope.

And then… it happened.
Jenny is HOME and was adopted on January 17, 2026.

Her new mom renamed her Juniper — sweet little “Juney” — a name that still carries a piece of who she was, but marks the beginning of who she gets to be.

Juney is playful, full of energy, and completely obsessed with squeaky balls. She loves long walks, car rides, and sleeping in late like the queen she is. She cuddles on the couch. She loves string cheese and peanut butter.

Thank you to her incredible adopter for loving her exactly as she is and giving her the life she deserves. ❤️

Happy forever, Juney. 🥳

Hi MexiMutt Family!

Our foster pack just got a little bigger, and we are in need of a few new harnesses for our newest rescues. Safe, properly fitted harnesses mean safe walks, safe vet visits, and safe transport — and that matters so much for dogs who have already been through a lot.

Vito is the kind of dog people dream about.

Gentle with every living thing. Trustworthy alone in the house. Patient with kids. Playful when you want to play, calm when you need quiet. The kind of presence that just makes a home feel right. 🌻

His foster puts it simply: “He’s the perfect dog.”

So why has he been waiting two years?

Because when people see “Pit Bull/Rottweiler” they don’t see Vito. They only see a stereotype. A risk.

They miss the lovebug who became best friends with cats, birds, and even yappy little chihuahuas. The intelligent dog who looks to you for guidance instead of running off if you drop the leash. The well-behaved gentleman who could demolish a room full of cables and shoes but chooses not to, every single time.

They miss the dog who’s been good—consistently, effortlessly good—for two solid years, hoping someone would finally notice..

Here’s what Vito’s foster knows that most people don’t: this isn’t a dog you’re “giving a chance.” This is a dog who will change your life for the better.

Help us spread the word so we can find the perfect family that this perfect dog so deserves ❤️

🚨 419 DAYS. STILL WAITING. 🚨

Jenny has been in foster care for 419 days, and we are officially confused.

She is so lovely. Easy-going. Super cuddly.

Jenny would absolutely love to be your one and only.
She can live with other dogs, but if she had a choice?
She’s picking you. Every time. She would love and thrive in a home as the only pet.

She loves people more than anything, sleeps in, snuggles in bed, loves to play with her toys and is always down for a car ride. She’s the kind of dog that makes your house feel like home.

❌ No cats (she’ll bark at them—honesty is her brand).

✅ Perfect for someone who wants a true best friend and companion.

Jenny isn’t a project.
She isn’t complicated.
She is PERFECTION.

Please—let’s not make her wait another year to be chosen.
