We need your help! Score, A Baker Fair is just around the corner and we’re looking for volunteers to make it happen. We have openings for parking and safety, event registration, coffee, photography, general floating, and cleanup. If you’ve ever wanted a behind the scenes look at one of Portland’s most exciting food events, this is your chance.

We also have a Land Tending shift open this Tuesday, May 27th from 12 to 3pm. Come spend an afternoon on the farm restoring native plants, weeding, harvesting, and prepping beds.

We’re so excited to introduce the newest members of our farm team for the 2026 season!

After farming with us last year, Vicki Taylor is back for the weeds she left behind. She’s also a soil scientist who brings a wealth of knowledge to everything we do here. When she’s not at the farm you can find Vicki catching worms, swimming, growing melons, digging holes, butchering chickens, or preserving veggies with her daughter and pup in tow.

Anthony Francione is joining us for his first season at Zenger Farm. He comes to us from , where he spent most of his time doing tractor work, which is going to come in handy as we refine our tractor practices this season. Anthony also has a culinary school degree, so we’re looking forward to seeing what he does with the harvest throughout the season.

You’ll find Vicki and Anthony helping run the weekly CSA pickup. They’re here through November, so stop by and say hi!

We’re thrilled to welcome Eric Rodriguez as our new Executive Director! Many of you may already know Eric. He was part of our team from 2022 to 2024, helping build the healthcare partnerships that connect patients at clinics to locally grown produce as a form of preventive care.

Eric brings deep roots in food equity, healthcare partnerships, and urban agriculture. Most recently at , he supported urban farmers and expanded access to fresh food across Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. We couldn’t be more excited to have him back and leading us into this next chapter.

We're hiring two seasonal farmers for the 2026 season!

This is an exciting year on the farm. We're developing new systems to grow more produce and feed more people on less land than ever before, and we want the right people to be part of it.

From April through November, you'll be doing real farm work alongside a hardworking, community-focused crew. Regenerating soil, growing produce, and supporting our CSA community.

We're looking for folks with 2+ years of organic farming experience who care about good food and the people who need it.

Did you join us for Día de los Mu***os or a gleaning event recently?!

If you did, you would have seen a bonus in the farm parking lot: We now have EV charging available on-site thanks to Portland General Electric's Drive Change Fund, made possible by Oregon DEQ’s Clean Fuels Program. Anyone attending an event or volunteer hours on the farm can bring your electric vehicle and charge up while you enjoy contributing to our mission!

Our new charging stations are part of our commitment to sustainable transportation and reducing emissions. They're available during all our events and programs—so every time you visit Zenger Farm, you can power up.

Meet our newest farm team member: a Ford Lightning XLT electric truck! 🚙✨

Since joining us this fall, this EV has been hauling equipment between our fields and delivering fresh produce to our community. It's also essential for our CSAP4H program, which supports 3-7 small, local farms in produce sales each year.

Going electric means we're reducing emissions while keeping our farm operations running smoothly. We're grateful to Portland General Electric's Drive Change Fund, made possible by Oregon DEQ’s Clean Fuels Program, for making this possible!

And a big shout out to our contractors Upliftic Energy and Gerryn Energy!
