Did you join us for Día de los Mu***os or a gleaning event recently?!

If you did, you would have seen a bonus in the farm parking lot: We now have EV charging available on-site thanks to Portland General Electric's Drive Change Fund, made possible by Oregon DEQ’s Clean Fuels Program. Anyone attending an event or volunteer hours on the farm can bring your electric vehicle and charge up while you enjoy contributing to our mission!

Our new charging stations are part of our commitment to sustainable transportation and reducing emissions. They're available during all our events and programs—so every time you visit Zenger Farm, you can power up.

Meet our newest farm team member: a Ford Lightning XLT electric truck! 🚙✨

Since joining us this fall, this EV has been hauling equipment between our fields and delivering fresh produce to our community. It's also essential for our CSAP4H program, which supports 3-7 small, local farms in produce sales each year.

Going electric means we're reducing emissions while keeping our farm operations running smoothly. We're grateful to Portland General Electric's Drive Change Fund, made possible by Oregon DEQ’s Clean Fuels Program, for making this possible!

And a big shout out to our contractors Upliftic Energy and Gerryn Energy!

We’re just one week away from our community night at Migration Brewing Company's Gresham Pub! Join us on Wednesday, December 10 from 5–8pm for great beer, delicious food, and a visit from Caesar the No Drama Llama.

Migration Brewing Company is donating 10% of all sales during the event to support our work at Zenger Farm. We hope to see you there.

Zenger Farm volunteers harvested the last of the season's peppers last week and as a result over 100 pounds were delivered to our friends at St. Johns Food Share! We appreciate the hard work of all our volunteers this year.

We're excited to share that through Portland General Electric’s Drive Change Fund, made possible via Oregon DEQ’s Clean Fuels Program, we've added an electric Ford Lightning XLT truck and two new EV charging stations to Zenger Farm! 🚗⚡

This project helps us reduce emissions while continuing our mission of increasing access to nourishing food and building strong communities. One charging station is available for public use—so when you visit us for events, workshops, or volunteer days, you can charge your EV for free!

🧄🌸🩷 Garlic braiding with our some of 2025 Beginning Farmer Apprentices Ava, Zayd, and Mari + Kai our Farmer Training Program Assistant and Educator! Apprentices participate in fun activities like this as well as classroom education, land work, field trips, and many farming skills throughout their time at the farm. 😊✨🦋

We have had some new faces working around the farm that we want to introduce to you! Say Hello to Mike, our Farm Program Coordinator: Field Work Lead!
In 2018 Mike was a farm apprentice here at Zenger farm and hired back on in 2019 as an on-call farmer at Zenger Farm. In 2019 Mike and his partner started their own market farm called Two Hills Farm and ran 20 CSA shares and 2 farmers markets. Mike loves growing food and sharing food with his community. When he is not growing food he is at the dog park with his partner, baby, and dog or skiing, or surfing, or backpacking, or anything that keeps him moving outside!
