They thought they had the element of surprise. K9 Kirk already had them on the night shift guest list. 🐾🟢

Sometimes, a strong presence is enough to change someone’s mind.

A trained security K9 team can help deter unwanted behavior and support verbal direction without physical contact. Clear communication, a controlled canine, and a professional handler all contribute to the goal: gaining cooperation and resolving the situation safely.

***UPDATE*** This pup has been reunited with its family.

Help me find my people! Please call us if you know who I belong to.

You see a patrol car. Someone else sees a reason to keep moving. A visible security presence can deter problems before they start.

SECURITY - WORKING THE COUNTER? FRYER? WTF IS HAPPENING AT MCDONALDS???
VIRGINIA - this picture was sent in to us from down Virginia way, and shows an Admiral Security Officer working with the food. Not handling an unruly customer, not keeping the lines in order - but bagging, packing, and delivering customers' orders (not his own, not his family's, just regular customers with the mcd's reps).

What???

Even in stand and watch states, where security has been made completely worthless (Delaware), security guards aren't supposed to be doing non-security work (just like we don't expect non-security staff to handle actual security assignments, right?) In the private sector, you would think it would come down to liability. This fellow has no serve-safe certifications, no gloves or food training of any kind.

And what if he slips and falls? Not taking enforcement action, true, but if he falls on grease when he is back there, his (Admiral's) workers compensation carrier may tell him "no" because he was not in the scope of his employment (that is, handling security duties).

On the LE side of things, we don't ask our records clerks to respond to parking complaints, and we don't expect our animal control officers to do crash reconstruction.

Has this become normal in security, where you're not just supplemental staff for the business that contracts you? We're asking - inquiring minds want to know!
