Glow sticks may be fun for Halloween, but they can be unpleasant for pets who bite into them!

The liquid inside is generally not considered toxic, but it can cause a strong bitter taste, excessive drooling, foaming, and mouth irritation. If your pet chews on a glow stick or glow jewelry, rinse their mouth with water and monitor them closely. 🐾

Meet Cara, one of the friendly faces helping make every visit to CBVH a little brighter! With 25 years in veterinary medicine and approximately 8 years at CBVH, Cara brings a wealth of experience and a big heart to caring for our patients and supporting their families.

Cara’s favorite thing about CBVH? All the sweet four-legged patients! It’s easy to see why working with so many lovable pets makes the job special.

When it comes to favorite breeds, Cara’s answer is simple: Bullies all around!

We’re so thankful to have Cara as part of the CBVH family. Her years of dedication to veterinary medicine and love for our furry friends make her such a valued member of the team!

This National Cat Day, we're celebrating our feline companions by highlighting something just as important as belly rubs and treats: their health. 🐾

Cats are naturally skilled at masking discomfort, which means common conditions like kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, dental disease, and diabetes can develop gradually and go unnoticed.

Being aware of a few key signs, changes in thirst, appetite, weight, or energy, can make a meaningful difference in catching these conditions early, when they're most manageable.
