What a weekend. 💚

Thank you!!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a post, told a friend, sent a neighbor our way, or made us part of your weekend.

This little farm stand has grown almost entirely through word of mouth, and we’ll never stop being grateful for that. This weekend the shelves stayed busy and by the end of each day there hardly anything left, which is something we never take for granted.

We’re just a small family-run, self-serve farm stand tucked away on Madison St. in Valpo, and seeing familiar faces pull up each week means more than you know.

🧅 One of the coolest things in the garden right now…

This onion got overlooked last year and stayed in the garden. Instead of putting its energy into growing a bigger bulb this year, it sent up this giant flower stalk that’s almost as tall as me!

That flower is actually how onions make seeds. Once it dries, I can collect the seeds and grow even more onions from it. 🌱

Most people only ever see the onion bulb, but this is what happens when an onion completes its full life cycle. Pretty neat, right?

One of my favorite parts of gardening is getting to see things most people never do. 💚
