As flowers bloom, so do risks for our pets, with plenty of opportunity for them to breathe in particles, scratch an eye, poke a paw, or even get snagged by a branch or thorn, all of which could potentially lead to infections.

Infections can be sneaky subtle—If your pet is not acting right and you are not sure what it is, get them checked! Like with most conditions, the sooner we treat an infection, the better your pet will feel.

It's time for Pet of the Week!

Meet Marmalade, a sweetheart who had a lump of hers checked out this week earlier this week. Her mom is taking such good care of her and says that she is "acting pretty darn brave all things considered".

She is decked out in a fancy surgery suit, which can be helpful for pets who don't like cones but still need to cover their incisions or spots that might bother our pets. Usually called "Spay Suits" since they cover the abdomen fully, they are great for male or female animals to help protect from licking and chewing. Unfortunately, not every pet is able to use them properly (looking at those noodle noses who can poke through an arm or leg hole to get a lick or 10 in).
