Master Wolf with Shadow Husky Rescue received a sad story from a family that has to surrender Fenrir, a male Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix at only 9 months old! My heart breaks for this Mom going through a rough time. Here is what the owner out of San Dimas Ca. had to say-
Hi Tim
Iβm reaching out to see if your rescue is able to help with rehoming or taking in my 9-month-old Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix, Fenrir.
This is a very hard decision for me. My kids and I adopted him when he was barely 2 months old, and he has been loved and cared for as part of our family since then. Unfortunately, due to ongoing heart-related health issues, Iβm no longer able to give him the level of physical activity, exercise, and care that his breed and energy level truly require and have been hospitalized a few times due to surgeries or complications.
Fenrir is neutered, up to date on his shots, and currently weighs about 60 lbs. He is incredibly sweet, adventurous, curious, playful, energetic, and full of personality. He is house-trained, does well with routines, and is good with kids and other animals. He has a lot of love to give and would thrive in a home that understands Siberian huskies/malamutes and can provide structure, exercise, patience, and attention.
Iβm not comfortable taking him to a shelter, and my main priority is making sure he ends up somewhere safe, stable, and experienced. Unfortunately i havenβt had any luck finding any home to home adopters so Iβve been reaching out to rescues. I would be so grateful for any help, guidance, foster options, or rescue placement you may be able to offer, if youβre able. I completely understand if youβre at capacity or unable to assist.
Thank you so much for your time and for the work you do.
