Ball tip-
When playing ball ask your dog to wait (on leash to prevent the run) while you throw the ball maybe make your dog walk around with you, do an additional sit or down. Then release your dog to come to you (have a 2nd toy around so you can do a trade off.) leash dog after sit and repeat.
