I’m home.❤️
A week ago today I had heart surgery that was supposed to be a one-day
procedure. Well, every complication could possibly happen did. they cut my vein and I was bleeding into my stomach. They had me in a brace for over 24 hours that I could not move. They told me that it was probably gonna have to have surgery again but two days later thank God it stopped.
I couldn't walk, I couldn't even touch my stomach, and I am still
black and blue all over my belly and legs. Very sore have to take it very slow. I was so weak that my friend
Steven took me in until I could get back on my feet. Steven, thank you so
much for the wonderful care you gave me.
Tonight I finally walked through my own front door. I love my home, and
I'm so happy to be back here with my doggies. I missed them so much.
To my clients, friends, and everyone who sent flowers, chocolate
strawberries, cards, checks, and kind words, or who donated: thank you.
You carried me through these weeks, and I felt every bit of it. I will never
forget it.
Being sick teaches you who shows up. It also teaches you that
sometimes the people closest to you can hurt you the most, which makes
everyone else's kindness mean even more.
The shop is open this week while I rest, and I hope to be back next week
as soon as my doctors say I'm ready. Until then, hug your dogs, call
someone you love, and thank you for being my people.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️can’t wait to see and hug all of you
