Deer Crossing Camp is an outdoor adventure for 8-17 year olds on beautiful Loon Lake in Eldorado National Forest near Lake Tahoe. Founded in 1983, Deer Crossing stands out from other summer camps due to our emphasis on skill building and wilderness safety, our focus on developing resilient youth, and our no-road-access, off-the-grid location (where campers hike in and gear is boated in). Our talen

ted staff teach beginner through advanced activities, at the level each camper is ready for. A wilderness adventure plus traditional camp activities: Learn to sail on an azure lake, climb vertical rock faces, canoe like a pro, paddle white water rapids, hot-dog on a windsurfer, catch the biggest trout, scale 100' trees, and backpack into the mountains. Play guitar, roast s'mores and perform around a campfire, make jewelry and tie-dye teeshirts. Deer Crossing Camp combines fun, excitement, challenge, friendship, and caring counselor-instructors who give campers the sense that 'I can do this.'
