🦷🪥🐾 PET DENTAL HEALTH PSA: A HEALTHY MOUTH MEANS A HEALTHIER PET! 🐾🪥🦷

Did you know that dental disease is one of the most common health problems in pets? 😸🐶 And unfortunately, our furry friends can't tell us when their teeth or gums are hurting. 💔

❤️ Why is dental health so important?

🦷 Prevents Pain: Dental disease can cause sore, inflamed gums, damaged teeth, and significant discomfort even when your pet continues to eat normally.

🦠 Helps Protect Overall Health: Bacteria associated with dental disease can enter the bloodstream, potentially affecting other organs and contributing to more serious health concerns.

🪥 Freshens Breath: Persistent bad breath isn't just a normal part of being a pet parent! It can be a warning sign of dental disease.

🛡 Protect Those Pearly Whites: Routine dental care helps remove plaque and tartar, supports healthy gums, and can help preserve your pet's teeth.

🐕🐈 Signs to Watch For:

▪︎ Bad breath
▪︎ Yellow or brown buildup on teeth
▪︎ Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
▪︎ Dropping food or chewing on one side
▪︎ Pawing at the mouth
▪︎ Changes in eating habits

⚠️ Remember: Pets often hide their dental pain, so dental disease may be present even when they seem perfectly happy!

✨️ What can you do? Regular veterinary dental examinations, professional dental cleanings when recommended, and appropriate at-home dental care can make a big difference in your pet's health and comfort.

💕 At Po***ck Pines Veterinary Hospital, we believe every pet deserves a healthy mouth and a happy life!

📞 Contact us to discuss your pets dental health and find out if they are due for a dental cleaning.

A healthy smile is more than just a pretty face, it's an important part of your pet's overall well-being! 😁🐾💖
