Today is the official unofficial shelter dog birthday!! To celebrate, any dog or cat in our shelter that is already spayed or neutered will have NO adoption fee for the next 2 weeks.

The adoption process will still be the same, there will just be no fee!!

Happy birthday to all our shelter dogs!!!!

We have 3 cats at the shelter that would rather work than socialize and party. If you have a rodent problem, we have the solution.

STRAY ALERT!!! Lincoln Ave area. We need your help identifying the owner of this dog.

We have been to 3 different houses that were the reported owners of this dog and none of them turned out to be correct. There are a lot of black and white dogs in that area that appear the same and I met 2 more of them today while this one was running around.

He is a very nice dog, loves milk bones, cat friendly, possibly older and obviously not fixed, but would not get in the van and still being injured I was unable to get him loaded up.

If you know where this dog belongs in that area please let us know.

Mason County Residents!!! More assistance with getting your pets spayed or neutered is available. Click on link for information!!!

Tiffany Dlesk Spay-Neuter Clinic currently has the following grants available to assist owners in getting their dog or cat spayed and neutered:

*West Virginia Spay-Neuter Program (WVSNP)-- This grant is available to West Virginia residents who qualify for some type of state financial assistance. A form must be filled out at the time of your appointment to verify your assistance.

*Marshall County Feral Fix Fund-- This grant covers the cost of having feral cats in Marshall County spayed and neutered. All cats MUST come in a live trap to be eligible for this program. Feral cats will have their left ear tipped to indicate they have been fixed.

*FOHO Feral Fix Fund-- This grant covers the cost of having feral cats in all other West Virginia counties spayed and neutered. All cats MUST come in a live trap to be eligible for this program. Feral cats will have their left ear tipped to indicate they have been fixed.

*FOHO Low-income grant-- This grant assists those West Virginia residents with a household income less than $75,000 but not qualifying for the WVSNP grant in getting their animals spayed or neutered.
