It’s quieter now. Not just in the house, but in the rhythm of my days.
No jingling collar, no soft sighs as you settled at my feet. No more waiting by the door, no more gentle nudges reminding me it was time to pause and just be.
But somehow… you’re still everywhere.
In the morning light that streams through the window just the way you loved. In the quiet corners where you used to curl up. In the way my heart still pauses, expecting to hear you.
Some people say, “It was just a dog.” But you were never just anything.
You were the warmth when I felt cold, the laughter when the world felt heavy. You knew how to read me in ways no one else could. You were my anchor, my joy, my home in fur and heartbeat.
There’s an ache that never fully leaves. But there’s also a peace—knowing I loved you with everything I had. And you loved me back, just the same.
So I carry you with me… not as a wound, but as a whisper. A gentle, constant presence.
Until the day we meet again, and the quiet is filled once more with your happy paws and that look in your eyes that said, “I’ve been waiting.”

We recently had to say goodbye to one of our own fur babies. She was 9 and had been fighting cancer for the last 3 years. She was our rescue pup from 2016. We miss her greatly. To all of those who we have provided service for, we get it. The loss is hard, they are family. 🐾💔 Rest in Peace Bentley.
