I have an idea!! Well, two actually...

1. Barker House Box! This would be a monthly subscription box that would be delivered right to your house with products from other small businesses! This way, we support other businesses like ours, and you benefit from getting awesome, unique items for your fur babies! It can range from treats, toys, clothes, household items, etc. A fun surprise every month! Send me a DM if this would interest you!

2. Barker House Member Area! This would be an online membership that puts TONS of great resources and information in one place! I'm thinking daycare/boarding/grooming articles, videos from guest experts, training, recommendations from vets, special dog discounts, etc. Not so much that you're overwhelmed, but enough that you'll find direct & local guidance when you're looking for it! One low monthly payment for all of it! AND, if you join now as a Founding Member to help shape what the membership looks like you will lock in a lower price FOREVER! Spring Illness Update!

We have seen several more cases of respiratory viruses & suspected pneumonia in our daycare pups. Vets are seeing increased cases across the area because of the wet season we have had & they believe environmental allergens are causing a lot of the issue.

Our daycare clients today were kind enough to flex & skip today to allow us to do an EXTREME cleaning inside the entire building, in addition to what we do daily. Our outside runs are treated regularly & deep cleaned every weekend.

If you notice that your dogs is coughing, or wheezing, or reverse sneezing more than usual or has congestion/runny nose, please keep them home as a precaution to all of the other dogs.

All of the cases we've had so far have been treated with antibiotics and we've had no serious cases thus far.

As always, the pups' health & safety is our number one priority & we appreciate your help!

Hello Barker House Family!

Just a quick update on Spring illnesses!

We are experiencing the typical coughs that come from the transition from winter to spring. We have not had any confirmed cases of kennel cough, and so far the diagnoses have ranged from respiratory or allergy causes.

Kennel cough sounds like a seal barking - there is nothing else like it! With the respiratory or allergy coughs, it most often happens during activity and is caused by an uptick in environmental allergies or respiratory viruses.

As always, please see your vet if you're concerned. We will always reach out if we notice any symptoms that you're dog is experiencing in daycare or boarding, and we will provide updates if we are seeing any outbreaks.

We are cleaning and disinfecting to the nth degree, and continue to do our absolute best to keep everyone healthy and happy! 🥰
